Schuemann went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 13-8 win over the Athletics.

With left-hander Jacob Lopez starting for the Athletics, Schuemann drew the start at second base before shifting to right field. The 28-year-old contributed to the Yankees' 13-run third inning, roping a two-RBI double to the left-field wall. While the utility man hasn't seen much action in the majors, he has been productive when called upon in 2026, slashing .294/.500/.471 with three doubles, three RBI, seven runs and two stolen bases across 24 plate appearances.

Devenski (illness) is expected to resume throwing bullpen sessions during the upcoming week, MLB.com reports.

Devenski was cleared to resume all baseball activities May 13, but he appears to have been limited to throwing off flat ground since that date. While the right-hander looks poised to take the next step in throwing program by getting back on a mound, he's still likely at least a couple weeks away from being ready for action with the Pirates. Before landing on the injured list May 7 due to an undisclosed illness, Devenski surrendered two earned runs on five hits over 2.1 innings in three appearances out of the Pittsburgh bullpen.

Rice went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, four RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Athletics.

Rice extended his hitting streak to five games in style, lacing a two-RBI double before driving in two more runs with a triple as part of the Yankees' 13-run third inning. The first baseman will close out May slashing .286/.346/.602 with 15 extra-base hits (including seven homers), 21 RBI, 18 runs and a stolen base across 24 games during the month. His 1.055 OPS across 54 games this season leads all qualified MLB hitters.

Carey, who is working his way back from a heel injury, began a rehab assignment Friday in the rookie-level Florida Complex League, Lindsay Crosby of BravesToday.com reports.

Carey has gone 0-for-5 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored through the first two games of his rehab assignment. The 19-year-old outfielder has been on High-A Rome's 7-day injured list since April 24, but he could be ready to return to action in the South Atlantic League at some point during the upcoming week.

Warren (7-1) earned the win Sunday, allowing three runs (none earned) on six hits and three walks over six innings in a 13-8 victory over the Athletics. He struck out five.

Facilitated by a Trent Grisham error, Warren was charged with three unearned runs in the first inning but settled in nicely afterward, firing five scoreless frames. Sunday marked the right-hander's second consecutive quality start and fifth of the season. Warren will carry a 3.22 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 70:19 K:BB across 64.1 innings (12 outings) into his next start, which is tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Red Sox.

Brzykcy is expected to be called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Brzykcy will join the big-league club for the first time in 2026, looking to make his Marlins debut after being claimed by the team off waivers in November. The right-hander has posted a 4.79 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with 24 strikeouts over 20.2 innings in 16 appearances out of the bullpen with Jacksonville so far this year.

The Athletics plan to option Lopez to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Lopez fell apart in the third frame of Sunday's 13-8 loss to the Yankees, allowing seven earned runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts over two-plus innings. After the game, manager Mark Kotsay indicated that the Athletics were hoping to get five or six innings out of Lopez on Sunday, but the lefty's inability to work deep into the start in addition to a mental miscue of not covering first base during a play in the third inning will result in him being demoted. The 28-year-old has largely struggled in 2026, posting a 4-3 record with a 6.75 ERA and 1.84 WHIP across 50.2 innings (12 appearances). The Athletics will now have two openings in their rotation during the upcoming week, as Luis Severino (shoulder) was moved to the injured list Saturday.

La Sorsa is expected to trigger his upward mobility clause Monday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

La Sorsa signed a minor-league contract with the Pirates before the 2026 campaign and already attempted to find another suitor once by exercising his upward mobility clause, ultimately sticking around after he went unclaimed on waivers in late March. The southpaw has posted a 3.60 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 21 strikeouts over 25 innings in 21 appearances, including two starts, with Triple-A Indianapolis this season. It's unclear if he'll garner much interest on the open market.

Brown (shoulder) had been scheduled to throw a live bullpen session this weekend, MLB.com reports.

The Rockies have yet to officially confirm whether Brown was able to complete the next step in his throwing program, but at the very least, the report presumably indicates that the right-hander has already thrown off a mound without a hitter present in the batter's box. Brown has been on the mend from right shoulder inflammation since the early weeks of spring training, and given how long he's been shelved, he'll likely need to complete multiple live sessions before moving on to what will presumably be an extended minor-league rehab assignment. The 26-year-old has three minor-league options remaining and could be sent to Triple-A Albuquerque or Double-A Hartford once he's deemed ready to return from the 60-day injured list.

Herget (shoulder) was cleared to resume playing catch May 24, MLB.com reports.

Herget is in the process of ramping up his throwing after he was placed on the injured list May 14 due to a right shoulder impingement. The 32-year-old righty had been one of the Rockies' key setup men prior to landing on the shelf, notching three holds and one save while logging a 5.06 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB in 16 innings over 15 appearances.
