Barlow allowed three walks but didn't allow a hit or record a strikeout in one-third of an inning, earning the save in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Yankees. He was not charged with a run.

The Athletics' bullpen was taxed heavily when Luis Severino (shoulder) exited Friday's game early. That led to some bullpen management, but the plan faltered when Jack Perkins -- who hadn't pitched since Monday -- made a mess of the ninth inning in a non-save situation. Barlow was brought in and threw just nine of 23 pitches for strikes, but he was able to get the final out after allowing all three inherited runners to score. Barlow has earned two saves over his last three appearances, though he doesn't look to be the first-choice option for saves in the Athletics' closer committee. He has a 3.08 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB across 26.1 innings, and he's added eight holds. Both Barlow and Hogan Harris have pitched consecutive days, so any potential save chance Sunday would likely fall to Mark Leiter or Joel Kuhnel. It remains difficult to target any one reliever for saves on a team that has five pitchers between two and four saves on the year.

Pivetta (forearm) played catch Friday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union Tribune reports.

Though Pivetta's throwing was on flat ground in the outfield at Nationals Park, it was still a significant step given that it was the first time he has played catch since landing on the injured list April 14. The veteran pitcher is expected to continue playing catch on flat ground for at least two weeks before a determination is made about his next steps. Acee reports that the Padres are being cautious with Pivetta as well as with fellow injured starter Joe Musgrove (elbow). It's quite possible that neither pitcher will be ready to return until after the All-Star break.

Ginn (3-3) allowed one unearned run on four hits and three walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Yankees on Saturday.

Ginn rebounded well coming off his shortest start of the year, in which he walked six batters over 2.1 innings against the Padres last weekend. The right-hander walked multiple batters Saturday for the fourth time this season, but the Yankees were largely unable to take advantage. This was his fourth quality start over six outings in May, and he's now at a 2.87 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 52:26 K:BB through 59.2 innings over 13 appearances (10 starts) this season. Ginn is tentatively projected to make his next start at Houston.

Musgrove (elbow) is slated to begin a throwing program soon and is targeting a return after the All-Star break, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Early in spring training, there was hope that Musgrove would be ready for the beginning of the campaign, as he appeared to be in the final stages of his rehab from Tommy John surgery. However, the right-handed hurler didn't recover well after throwing two innings in an exhibition contest in early March, and that ended up being his only game action of the spring. Musgrove has essentially been shut down since, so he'll likely need a lengthy ramp-up when he does ultimately begin throwing again. Fantasy managers who have hung on to Musgrove -- presumably in an IL slot -- should note that he isn't expecting to return before the All-Star break when weighing whether to continue rostering him.

Emerson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

This was Emerson's first homer since he logged his first career hit versus the White Sox on May 18. The infielder has displayed decent power so far with two homers and three doubles over hist first 12 big-league contests, and he's batting .237 with an .852 OPS, seven RBI, six runs scored and a triple.

Canzone went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Canzone logged his first multi-hit game since April 29 versus the Twins and has homered twice over his last three contests. The 28-year-old is batting .240 with a .785 OPS, six homers, 22 RBI, 17 runs scored, one stolen base and 10 doubles over 137 plate appearances this season. Canzone is filling a strong-side platoon role at designated hitter.

Raley went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a hit-by-pitch in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Raley has homered in back-to-back contests and has three long balls over his last five games. The outfielder is hitting .279 with a .930 OPS, 13 homers, 31 RBI, 22 runs scored, one stolen base, five doubles and a triple across 53 contests. He continues to work in a strong-side platoon role in right field, sharing the position with Victor Robles.

Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

For the second game in a row, Rodriguez had multiple extra-base hits. He's homered in three straight contests and has gone 10-for-28 (.357) during a six-game hitting streak. The star outfielder is now batting .269 with an .801 OPS on the year, and he's added 12 homers, 30 RBI, 32 runs scored, 13 doubles and five stolen bases over 59 contests.

Woo (5-3) allowed two hits and struck out nine without walking a batter over seven scoreless innings to earn the win Saturday over the Diamondbacks.

Woo posted his third scoreless outing of May with this performance. Both hits he allowed were singles, and his nine strikeouts matched a season high. Woo trimmed his ERA to 3.44, and he's added a 0.96 WHIP and 68:14 K:BB across 70.2 innings over 12 starts. He's also allowed just six home runs this season, all of which came across back-to-back starts April 25 and May 1. Woo is projected to make his next turn through the rotation in Detroit.

Campusano (toe) has been catching bullpens and is swinging pain-free, per MLB.com.

Campusano hasn't played since fouling a ball off his toe against San Francisco on May 5. He landed on the IL two days later after being diagnosed with a fracture of his left toe. Campusano appears to have progressed in his recovery substantially, and he could be ready to return in early June. He may need a minor-league rehab stint first, however, given the amount of time he's missed.
