Keith went 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Angels.

Keith had been slumping a bit with a .160 batting average across his last 10 games, but he snapped out of it with his first multi-hit effort since May 12 before getting lifted for a pinch hitter when Los Angeles turned to lefty reliever Mitch Farris in the fifth. The triple was also the first of the season for the 24-year-old Detroit infielder. Keith is now batting .289 overall, though he rarely gets to face southpaws, which limits his fantasy ceiling.

Miles (2-0) was credited with the win in Tuesday's game against the Marlins, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out three across 4.1 innings.

Braydon Fisher opened Tuesday's game with a scoreless first inning before turning things over to Miles, who induced nine groundouts, with his lone blemish coming on an RBI infield single by Heriberto Hernandez. Miles has given up just one run over his last four outings, during which he's served either as the starter or bulk reliever. He's pitched well enough to get at least one more turn in the Blue Jays' rotation, especially after Dylan Cease (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday. Miles' next outing will likely take place this weekend on the road against the Orioles, though it's unclear whether he'll start or piggyback off a reliever.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said that Torres (oblique) felt good while swinging in the batting cage Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Hinch noted that Torres will repeat the activity Wednesday, and if all goes well, the 29-year-old could move on to facing live pitching in batting practice. Once the Tigers are confident that Torres' strained left oblique isn't compromising him at the plate, he'll head out on a minor-league rehab assignment. Torres has been on the shelf since May 6 due to the injury.

Perez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Angels.

It's been a struggle overall for Perez, who is batting just .167 with a .492 OPS. However, with Javier Baez (ankle) and Kerry Carpenter (shoulder) currently on the 10-day injured list, and Parker Meadows (arm) on the 60-day injured list, the Tigers are a bit thin in the outfield. That's opened up more playing time for Perez, who showed last season that he's capable of decent offensive production in a starting role.

Alcantara (3-4) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, allowing eight runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out four across 5.2 innings.

Alcantara gave up two runs over the first five innings of Tuesday's start and was brought back out for the sixth to secure his eighth quality start of the season. He gave up a solo home run to the first batter he faced in the frame, Yohendrick Pinango, and that turned out to be a sign of things to come for the right-hander. After getting the next two Blue Jays out, Alcantara proceeded to give up another five runs, four of which came on a grand slam from Jesus Sanchez. Alcantara struggled with his control, especially toward the tail end of his start as he hit four batters across the fifth and sixth frames. He has given up at least six earned runs in three of his last five starts, ballooning his ERA to 4.66 ERA across 75.1 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, which is slated for next week on the road against the Nationals.

McGonigle went 3-for-4 with a walk, a triple, a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Angels.

While Detroit has been struggling recently, McGonigle remains a bright spot. The rookie infielder is now riding a five-game hitting streak and has at least one hit in nine of his last 10 contests. Overall, McGonigle is slashing a robust .291/.395/.427 across 53 games, and it looks like the Tigers have found a reliable leadoff hitter and offensive weapon for years to come.

Madden (forearm) covered 4.1 innings and allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out three batters Monday in a rehab start with Triple-A Toledo.

Madden landed on the 15-day injured list May 17 due to a right forearm contusion, but he looks like he'll be ready to return when he's first eligible or shortly thereafter. Per MLB.com, the Tigers are still deciding whether he'll be activated Sunday or stick around at Toledo for another start. Madden posted a 2.45 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB in his first two outings as a bulk reliever before landing on the shelf, but Detroit may not have room in the rotation for the right-hander once he returns after the Tigers got Troy Melton back from the IL over the weekend. Tarik Skubal (elbow) and Justin Verlander (hip) also appear to be trending toward returns from the IL in the next few weeks.

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 12-1 loss to the Pirates.

The Cubs are in a tailspin with 10 straight losses, but Bregman is at least carrying his weight lately with a six-game hitting streak, and he's batting .348 during the hot stretch. The Chicago third baseman has still been a bit underwhelming overall with a .699 OPS, which is well below his career .839 mark, but his track record suggests he'll continue to trend upward as the season progresses.

Horn (elbow) began a throwing progression May 14, MLB.com reports.

Horn received a cortisone shot in mid-April to combat discomfort in his left elbow, which he had scoped during the offseason. The injection appears to have done its job, but Horn could be ramped up slowly in his throwing program after the Tigers pulled him off his rehab assignment earlier this season. He'll eventually head back out on another rehab assignment and may need most of the 30-day window before Detroit brings him back from the 60-day injured list.

Carpenter (shoulder) could be cleared to take live batting practice Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Carpenter was able to shag flyballs and take some swings in the batting cage Tuesday as part of his return-to-play progression and could take another step forward Wednesday. He's been on the shelf since May 10 due to an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder and may require a rehab assignment prior to being activated.
