Guerrero was removed from Sunday's game against the Pirates in the bottom of the fifth inning after being hit by a pitch on the inside of his right elbow, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports. He drew two walks in his other two plate appearances, scoring one run.

Rather than letting Guerrero run the bases before replacing him in the field in the top half of the inning, the Blue Jays immediately lifted the 27-year-old from the contest after he was struck by a 92 mph Mitch Keller sinker. The Blue Jays will likely put Guerrero through preliminary tests to determine whether he suffered any fractures before providing an update on his status.

Rengifo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

He'll head to the bench for the third time in four games and looks to have moved into a utility role while Joey Ortiz has at least temporarily reclaimed his job at shortstop. Rengifo's downturn in opportunities comes while he's mustered a lowly .489 OPS in May.

Ortiz will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Dating back to May 12, Ortiz has produced a .798 OPS on the back of a stellar 25 percent walk rate. His improved production at the dish has allowed him to reclaim a regular spot on the left side of the infield, as he'll draw a fourth consecutive start Sunday. Luis Rengifo is on the bench for the third time in four games and appears to have fallen into a utility role.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he doesn't expect Muncy (wrist) to be available to play Sunday against the Brewers or Monday against the Rockies, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The skipper is seemingly leaving the door open for Muncy to potentially serve as a pinch hitter Monday if he's able to take batting practice without issue, but the Dodgers are more likely to give the 35-year-old three full days off to let the swelling in his right wrist subside. Miguel Rojas will start at third base in place of Muncy in Sunday's series finale in Milwaukee.

Cease was removed in the fifth inning of his start Sunday against the Pirates due to an apparent injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com He struck out eight and allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk across 4.2 innings.

Though the nature of Cease's injury isn't known, the right-hander was seen shaking out his legs while he was visited on the mound by manager John Schneider and the Toronto medical staff, per Mitch Bannon of The Athletic. After initially staying in the game following the visit, Cease threw just two more pitches before being lifted. His availability for his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Baltimore, should become clearer once he's undergone further testing.

The Cubs placed Cabrera (finger) on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

After Cabrera exited his most recent start Wednesday against the Brewers due to a blister on his right middle finger, the Cubs had been viewing him as day-to-day and planned to have him throw a bullpen session Sunday before determining whether he would be ready to make his next turn through the rotation. The 28-year-old apparently wasn't as sharp in the side session as the Cubs would have hoped, prompting the team to deactivate him. The Cubs recalled Jordan Wicks from Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding move and will likely have him start or work in bulk relief when Cabrera's turn comes up Tuesday in Pittsburgh.

Sanoja will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Mets.

Sanoja will remain in the lineup for the fourth time in five games and will occupy the hot corner for the second time during that stretch. Third base has been a revolving door for Miami this season, and Sanoja would need a sustained run of success at the dish in order to hold off the recently recalled Graham Pauley for playing time at the position. Over 113 plate appearances, Sanoja has produced a modest .250/.310/.346 slash line with one home run and three stolen bases.

Mack is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

The Marlins will give Mack a break for Sunday's matinee after he started behind the plate in each of the team's previous three games. In Mack's stead, Liam Hicks will receive a turn behind the dish and will form a battery with starting pitcher Tyler Phillips.

Torrens is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Torrens will receive a breather for the series finale after starting behind the plate in each of the Mets' previous three games. Hayden Senger will get the nod at catcher Sunday.

Suarez allowed a hit and a walk while striking out four over 2.2 scoreless innings in Saturday's 2-0 loss to the Padres.

With starter J.T. Ginn struggling to find the zone, Suarez entered in the third inning and allowed an inherited baserunner to score, but he was able to settle in and keep the Padres from extending their lead for the remainder of his outing. The southpaw's four strikeouts marked his highest total through four appearances with the Athletics and his second-highest mark of the campaign. Across 13 outings between Atlanta, Seattle and the Athletics, Suarez owns a 6.17 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 30:16 K:BB in 23.1 innings.
