The Rangers activated Curvelo (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock.

Curvelo has been shelved since mid-April with a right shoulder impingement, but he recently made a couple scoreless rehab appearances with Round Rock despite three walks. Rather than add him back to the major-league bullpen, the Rangers have elected to keep Curvelo in the minors for the time being.

Lee (back) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

According to MLB.com, Lee has shown significant improvement since being lifted from Monday's 12-2 loss due to back spasms, but he'll miss out on a second straight start nonetheless. The Giants expect Lee to avoid a trip to the injured list, and he could be ready to return to the lineup Friday against the White Sox following Thursday's team off day.

Castro is out of the lineup against Texas on Wednesday

After going 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout Tuesday, Castro will sit out for the series finale against the Rangers. The switch hitter is slashing .239/.299/.343 with two homers and three steals through 147 plate appearances this year. The 29-year-old has been a lineup regular for Colorado and will receive a day off against right-hander Jack Leiter.

Goodman is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Rangers.

The Rockies are wrapping up their series against the Rangers with a day game, so Goodman will get some rest after starting each of the last six contests. The Rockies will go with Brett Sullivan at catcher and in the No. 9 spot in the batting order.

Jansen is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Jansen will receive a breather for the day game after he caught all nine innings of Tuesday night's 10-0 win and went 1-for-5 with a double and a run. Kyle Higashioka will get the nod behind the dish in the series finale in Colorado.

Manager Joe Espada said that Brown (shoulder) topped out at 96 mph during a 22-pitch live batting practice session Tuesday and could begin a rehab assignment as early as this weekend, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Brown completed his first live batting practice Tuesday as he continues to rehab from a shoulder strain. If the 27-year-old feels good after that session, he should begin a rehab assignment over the weekend as he continues to target mid-June for his return to big-league action.

Osuna is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

The left-handed-hitting Osuna will hit the bench for the second time in the series while the Rockies send another southpaw starter (Kyle Freeland) to the bump. Sam Haggerty will receive the nod in left field, but Osuna will likely draw most of the starts at the position against right-handed pitching until the Rangers get Wyatt Langford (forearm) back from the injured list.

Carter is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Though he drew the start in center field during Tuesday's 10-0 win while left-hander Sammy Peralta opened the game for the Rockies, the left-handed-hitting Carter batted out of the No. 9 spot in the lineup. Carter will be left out of the starting nine for the series finale while the Rangers go up against a more traditional lefty starter in Kyle Freeland.

The Mariners optioned Ortiz to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old lefty received his first call to the big leagues Monday but didn't get the chance to make his MLB debut during his two-day stay with Seattle. He'll cede his spot on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen to righty Matt Brash (lat), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Seattle optioned left-hander Robinson Ortiz to Triple-A Tacoma to make room on the active roster and in the bullpen for Brash, who had been shelved since May 1 due to right lat inflammation. He was cleared to rejoin the Mariners after a pair of rehab appearances with Tacoma, during which he posted a 4:2 K:BB while not allowing a hit over 1.2 innings.
