Miller allowed a hit and struck out three without walking a batter over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-3 win over the White Sox.

This was Miller's first save in eight days, as his last two outings came in non-save situations. He hasn't been rattled by the end of his 34.2-inning scoreless streak, which dated back to the 2025 campaign prior to its end Monday against the Cubs. He's tossed a pair of scoreless outings since then and remains dialed in as the Padres' closer. Miller has a 1.10 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 32:3 K:BB over 16.1 innings this season, and he's converted all 11 of his save opportunities.

Vientos went 2-for-4 with a pair of two-run homers in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Vientos powered the Mets' offense, getting the club on the board with a two-run blast in the fourth inning before extending the lead in the ninth frame with another two-run shot. It marked the 26-year-old's first multi-homer game of the season and his first long ball since April 18. After a brutal cold spell in the middle of April, Vientos may be starting to heat up, with his OPS up to .737 across 26 contests after entering Sunday's game at .650.

Canning allowed one run on three hits and three walks while striking out seven over five innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox on Sunday.

The lone run on Canning's line was the result of a Drew Romo solo home run. This was Canning's season debut and first start for the Padres after he finished his recovery from a torn Achilles tendon, which he sustained as a member of the Mets in June of 2025. Canning worked up to 73 pitches (42 strikes) in this outing, so he's likely another start or two away from being fully stretched out. Last year with the Mets, he pitched to a career-best 3.77 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP and 70:35 K:BB over 76.1 innings across 16 starts. He is tentatively lined up to make his second start with the Padres in a home matchup against the Cardinals.

Kochanowicz (2-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits, three walks and a hit-by-pitch over 6.1 innings against the Mets. He struck out six.

Kochanowicz was saddled with the loss despite a respectable effort, as a fourth-inning Mark Vientos two-run homer accounted for the only damage on his line Sunday. Since allowing five earned runs across four innings in his season debut, Kochanowicz has quietly been effective, completing at least 5.2 innings in each start since and now owning a 3.05 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 41.1 innings (seven starts). The 25-year-old struck out six against the Mets but hasn't relied heavily on strikeouts and could stand to cut down on the walks, as evidenced by a 30:21 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled to start Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Del Castillo entered Sunday's game as a pinch hitter and hit a two-run home run in an 8-4 loss to the Cubs.

Although Del Castillo homered for the second time in four games, his bat has been largely silent the last two weeks. He entered Sunday on a 3-for-29 (.103) run over the previous eight games. Del Castillo's offense was the main factor in him landing a spot on the 26-man roster, and if he continues to roll along with a .222 average and .671 OPS, playing time could diminish. The club envisioned him being a DH with the possibility of playing some first base, but that was before both Ildemaro Vargas (1.063 OPS in 107 plate appearances) and Jose Fernandez (.775 in 97 PAs) became more reliable sources of offense.

Holmes (4-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over 6.2 innings against the Angels. He struck out six.

Holmes' strong 2026 campaign continued Sunday, as the right-hander kept the Angels' bats quiet en route to his fourth win of the season. In what has been a rocky start to the year for the Mets, the 33-year-old has been a pillar of consistency, tossing five-plus innings in all seven starts to date without allowing more than two earned runs in any of them. Across 42.2 innings, Holmes owns a 1.69 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with a 31:14 K:BB and is tentatively scheduled to start Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Rumfield went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

Rumfield was a bright spot in the loss, driving his first homer since April 20. The 25-year-old got off to a hot start with a .910 OPS through his first 15 games but has cooled off a bit since. Across 35 total contests, the rookie first baseman is slashing .268/.329/.425 with four homers, six doubles, a triple, 19 RBI and 12 runs.

Mahle didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Rays, allowing four hits and one walk with five strikeouts across 5.1 shutout innings.

Mahle was in line for the victory before Ryan Walker allowed the tying run to cross in the bottom of the eighth. Sunday was Mahle's second scoreless outing in his last three starts, and all four hits he allowed to Tampa Bay were singles. After posting an ugly 7.23 ERA through his first four starts, Mahle now owns a 5.00 ERA and 34:18 K:BB across 35 innings. The right-hander should make his next start in next weekend's home series against the Pirates.

Moniak went 2-for-4 with two homers, three RBI and a walk in Sunday's 11-6 loss to Atlanta.

Moniak went deep twice, unloading a 422-foot two-run laser off Aaron Bummer in a lefty-lefty matchup in the fourth inning before adding a solo shot in the eighth inning off Tyler Kinley. The outfielder remains red hot, as he's now up to four multi-homer games in 2026 and carries a 16-game hitting streak. Overall, Moniak is slashing .327/.374/.724 with 11 homers, six doubles, 21 RBI, 19 runs and a stolen base across 27 games.

Aranda went 4-for-5 with an RBI in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Giants.

All four of Aranda's hits were singles, including the walk-off winner in the 10th inning, and all eight of Tampa Bay's hits as a team Sunday were singles. It was Aranda's first career four-hit game, and he's now slashing .252/.352/.462 with seven home runs, 28 RBI, 17 runs scored and a 19:35 BB:K across 142 plate appearances this season.
