Young isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against San Diego, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Young will move to the bench to begin Tuesday's contest after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout in the series opener Monday. Daylen Lile, Dylan Crews and James Wood will start across the outfield while Young sits.

Nunez isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Nunez's playing time has begun to dwindle as he's collected just three hits in 39 at-bats across his last 15 games. He'll now miss out on the starting nine for the third time in four games while CJ Abrams starts at shortstop and Jorbit Vivas mans second base.

The Diamondbacks scratched Carroll from Tuesday's lineup against the Royals due to low back discomfort, per Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic.

This will mark consecutive absences for Carroll. The 26-year-old is slashing just .148/.200/.296 with one homer and four RBI over his last 58 plate appearances. Ildemaro Vargas will replace Carroll and man first base while Tim Tawa moves over to right field for Arizona on Tuesday.

Ruiz isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

The Nationals have fallen into a pattern of alternating between Ruiz and Harry Ford behind the plate, and Tuesday will mark the latter's turn to handle catching duties.

Torkelson is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

The 27-year-old will hit the bench Tuesday for the second time in Detroit's past three games. Torkelson has been struggling at the plate the last few weeks with a .133/.235/.283 slash line and 38.2 percent strikeout rate in his past 20 contests.

Dingler is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Dingler will receive Tuesday off after starting the previous three games. The 27-year-old hasn't hit a home run since clubbing one in three straight contests from Aug. 4-6, and he's batting .117/.171/.146 during the 27-game power drought. Eduardo Valencia is working behind the plate and batting fifth versus Minnesota righty Dean Kremer.

The Mariners reinstated Robles from the family medical emergency list Tuesday.

Robles was placed on the family medical emergency list Thursday. Stuart Fairchild was brought up from Triple-A Tacoma to replace Robles on the roster but was designated for assignment Tuesday in a corresponding move.

Muncy isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Toronto.

Muncy will get a chance to catch his breath after going 7-for-19 with two homers, four RBI and three runs scored over the Athletics' last five games. His absence will allow Tommy White (back) to work as the designated hitter, batting fifth.

The Mariners reinstated Milner from the family medical emergency list Tuesday.

Milner was placed on the family medical emergency list Friday. Troy Taylor took Milner's spot on the active roster but was optioned back to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday in a corresponding move.

White (back) will serve as the Athletics' designated hitter and bat sixth Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

White has sat out each of the Athletics' last six games while dealing with lower-back tightness, and after avoiding the injured list, he's been cleared to return to the starting nine. The 23-year-old had been making decent contact before getting injured, going 10-for-36 (.278) with four RBI and four runs scored over his last 10 games.
