  • Oswald Peraza 2B | LAA

Angels' Oswald Peraza: Out of lineup again Monday

Peraza is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Boston.

Following a stretch of six straight starts, Peraza has now been out of the lineup for three consecutive tilts. Vaughn Grissom is covering third base, and Moises Ballesteros will be at first base for the Angels on Monday.

  • Brandon Sproat SP | MIL

Brewers' Brandon Sproat: Back in big leagues

The Brewers recalled Sproat from Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

He'll join the 28-man active roster as a replacement in the bullpen for Grant Anderson (biceps), who was placed on the 15-day injured list. Sproat has primarily operated as a starter between stops with Milwaukee and Nashville this season, but he made his most recent Triple-A appearance as a reliever. The 25-year-old has posted a 5.27 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 100:48 K:BB over 95.2 innings with the big club in 2026.

  • Grant Anderson RP | MIL

Brewers' Grant Anderson: Out with biceps inflammation

The Brewers placed Anderson on the 15-day injured list Monday due to right biceps inflammation, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Anderson has pitched well in his most recent stint in the majors, allowing two runs (one earned) with an 11:5 K:BB over 10.1 innings. However, he will now be out at least until the final week of the regular season. Brandon Sproat was called up from Triple-A Nashville to take Anderson's place in the bullpen.

  • Royals' Isaac Collins: Out of Kansas City lineup

Collins is absent from the lineup for Monday's tilt versus the Diamondbacks.

Collins will grab a seat after starting each of the previous four contests. Matthew Lugo will patrol left field as the Royals open a series against the Diamondbacks.

  • Royals' Jac Caglianone: Remains out with elbow injury

Caglianone (elbow) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Caglianone will miss a second consecutive start after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 left flexor strain. The Royals aren't anticipating Caglianone requiring a stint on the injured list, with manager Matt Quatraro noting that the 23-year-old is feeling "better" but not scheduled to do any hitting or throwing Monday, per Joel Penfield of KCSN.com. John Rave will play right field for the Royals in the series opener.

  • Sean Murphy C | ATL

Braves' Sean Murphy: Taking seat Monday

Murphy is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Philadelphia.

Murphy has seen the bulk of the reps at catcher for Atlanta lately, with Drake Baldwin serving as the designated hitter those days. However, Murphy will be on the bench and Baldwin will do the catching as Atlanta wraps up its series against the Phillies.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Live BP session Monday

Jung (calf) will have a live batting practice session Monday with Double-A Frisco, MLB.com reports.

If all goes well, Jung is expected to embark on a rehab assignment at some point this week. A mid-September return is a possibility.

  • Nick Sogard 2B | BOS

Red Sox's Nick Sogard: Absent from Monday's lineup

Sogard is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Angels.

Sogard will receive a day of rest after starting each of the last 36 games. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will slot in at second base for the Red Sox in Monday's series opener.

  • Justin Foscue 2B | TEX

Rangers' Justin Foscue: Involved in win

Foscue started at second base and went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 8-6 win over Tampa Bay.

Per usual, Foscue was in the lineup against a left-handed starter, and he delivered a game-tying double in the fourth inning to erase the Rays' early lead. He's hit safely in five straight games, going 5-for-14 with two doubles, one home run and five RBI during that streak. When not starting, he's often a mid-game replacement when opponents bring in a lefty reliever.

  • Brayan Bello RP | BOS

Red Sox's Brayan Bello: Making start Monday

Bello will start Monday's game against the Angels.

Despite thriving out of the bullpen this season with a 2.03 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 62 innings, Bello will be deployed in a traditional starting role for the first time since June 4. In his prior eight starts, Bello has struggled mightily, logging a 10.35 ERA and 2.22 WHIP. Bello threw 69 pitches in his most recent relief appearance and threw 94 in the outing prior to that, so he's stretched out enough to provide significant length.
