Dion dropped to 1-2 on the season and was charged with a blown save in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Dodgers after giving up three earned runs on two hits and two walks across two innings. He struck out three batters.

Dion tossed three scoreless innings while making his first MLB start in his previous appearance Aug. 31 against the Marlins, but his usage in relief Sunday likely takes him out of the mix to start when the fifth spot in the Washington rotation comes up again this week. Tasked with protecting a 5-4 lead when he entered the game in the bottom of the seventh, Dion walked the first batter he faced but then struck out the next three batters he faced to close out the frame. He then retired the first two batters he faced in the eighth, but he was stuck with the loss after surrendering a base hit and a walk before Mookie Betts took him yard for a three-run blast to give Los Angeles the lead.

Bazzana went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and was caught stealing in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

Bazzana hit the second of back-to-back doubles in the first inning to knock in the Guardians' first run. He later singled in the eighth inning to give him a third straight two-hit game. Bazzana is 6-for-15 with two doubles, a home run and five RBI in six September contests.

The Mets optioned Hagenman to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday.

Hagenman had spent all season on the injured list while recovering from a fractured rib before he was activated last Wednesday. The 29-year-old righty made two appearances (one start) during his abbreviated stay with the Mets, giving up two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out two batters across four innings. He'll give up his spot on the 28-man active roster to right-hander Jonah Tong, who was recalled from Triple-A ahead of his start Monday in Miami.

Tong is set to make his first start for the Mets this season Monday in Miami, and he's a good bet to receive additional starts down the stretch of the regular season. The right-hander has logged a pedestrian 4.54 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 126:59 K:BB over 107 innings with Syracuse this season, but he held a 2.39 ERA in August and was scoreless over his last two outings.

Rocchio went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning win over Detroit.

Rocchio's solo shot in the fifth inning tied the game and set up the eventual extra inning. He's homered three times in the last four games. Rocchio's experienced a noticeable drop-off in the second half, posting a .548 OPS since the All-Star break, but his 13-homer, 18-steal season overall has been helpful for fantasy managers.

Law will serve as the Diamondbacks' opening pitcher on Monday in Kansas City.

Law has held the opposition to one run over 4.2 innings with a 3:1 K:BB in four appearances for the Diamondbacks since being called up in late August. The club hasn't revealed the rest of its pitching plans for Monday beyond Law, but Jose Cabrera is a good bet to appear in bulk relief.

The Twins optioned Acton to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

Acton was knocked around for four runs while notching just one out in Sunday's loss to the White Sox, and he finds himself back in the minors a day later. He's clearing off the active roster to make space for the return of Joe Ryan (glute).

Bichette went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Giants.

Bichette put the Mets ahead for good in the eighth inning with a two-out, 412-foot blast off Carson Seymour, his 16th homer this season. While it's been a down year overall for Bichette, his first with New York, the veteran infielder has heated up down the stretch -- he's batting .311 with five homers, 15 RBI and a .958 OPS over his last 24 games. Overall, Bichette is slashing .264/.312/.401 with 71 RBI, 70 runs scored and two steals across 605 plate appearances this season.

Brito started at second base and went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, an RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 12-8 win over Milwaukee.

Brito returned to the starting lineup after a two-game hiatus, as Matt McLain moved to shortstop so that Elly De La Cruz could get a break as the designated hitter. Brito has made an impact in his short time on the major-league roster, contributing to a pair of wins. He's gone 4-for-11 with two extra-base hits (one home run), five RBI, one steal and four runs scored over four games (three starts).

The Twins activated Ryan (glute) from the 15-day injured list Monday.

After missing the past month with a left glute strain, Ryan will make his return to the Twins' rotation with a start Monday in Detroit. The right-hander threw only 42 pitches in his lone rehab start, so his workload will be truncated against the Tigers. Connor Prielipp is a possibility to eat some innings out of the Minnesota bullpen after Ryan is done Monday.
