Munoz (5-5) blew the save and took the loss in Friday's 10-7 extra-inning loss to the Astros, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits and no walks with one strikeout while recording two outs in the 10th inning.

Munoz was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the 10th inning and imploded with two outs, allowing a game-tying single before surrendering a three-run walk-off homer to Christian Walker. It was a crushing end to what had been a strong run for the 27-year-old, who entered the contest having yielded only two earned runs over his previous 19 appearances dating back to June 16. On the year, he's a disappointing 21-for-28 in save chances to go along with a 4.47 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 70:17 K:BB across 44.1 innings.

Lord is slated to start Saturday's game against the Mets at Citi Field, Kyle Williams of TheBanner.com reports.

Lord will be making his second straight appearance as a starter, after he allowed one earned run while striking out four over 2.2 innings and 51 pitches in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Reds. After the Nationals designated Zack Littell and Miles Mikolas for assignment within the past two weeks to clear a pair of spots in the rotation, Lord looks as though he's being stretched out to fill one of the openings. Since Lord will be operating with a limited pitch count once again Saturday, the Nationals could turn to lefty Will Dion to piggyback him. In Lord's previous start, Dion tossed three shutout innings of long relief to earn his first MLB win.

Manager John Schneider said that Woods Richardson will be part of the Blue Jays' pitching plan for Saturday's game against the Yankees "in some capacity," Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Right-hander Braydon Fisher will start for Toronto, but he's unlikely to work more than an inning or two before giving way to the bullpen. Woods Richardson will be available on four days' rest and will likely be tasked with covering multiple innings in relief behind Fisher. After being called up from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, Woods Richardson came on in long relief in the Blue Jays' victory over the Red Sox later that night, earning the win after giving up one earned run across three innings.

Eldridge went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Rockies.

Eldridge's homer in the fourth inning briefly tied the game at 1-1. He has gone 4-for-19 with two homers and a 2:5 BB:K over his last five games. Eldridge's last multi-hit effort was Aug. 1 versus the Padres, but he continues to see steady playing time between first base and designated hitter. On the year, he's batting .246 with a .777 OPS, 13 homers, 30 RBI, 39 runs scored, 15 doubles and one stolen base over 79 contests.

Roupp (7-12) allowed four runs on five hits, three walks and a hit batsman while striking out five over 5.2 innings to take the loss Friday versus the Rockies.

Roupp threw just 57 of 91 pitches for strikes in this outing, which was his fourth straight loss. He's been competitive in just one of those games while allowing a total of 14 runs over his last 19.1 innings with a 15:15 K:BB in that span. Overall, Roupp is at a 4.31 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 128:60 K:BB through 129.1 innings over 24 starts. While his performance is fading, the Giants lack better options to fill in as part of the rotation, so expect Roupp to make his next projected start at Cleveland.

Veen went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 5-2 win over the Giants.

Veen has homered in both of his games in the majors this season, and they've both come on the road. The outfielder looks poised to fill a strong-side platoon role in right field alongside Jordan Beck, at least for the time being. Veen batted .327 and slugged .635 over 100 games with Triple-A Albuquerque this year prior to his call-up, and his favorable home park in the majors could allow him to maintain fantasy utility if he plays regularly down the stretch.

Freeland (4-10) allowed one run on four hits and a walk while striking out two over eight innings to earn the win over the Giants on Friday.

Freeland threw 66 of 95 pitches for strikes to get back in the win column. He's won two of his three starts in August, allowing just five runs (three earned) over 21.1 innings with a 13:6 K:BB in that span. Freeland has had a largely unimpressive season, but he's shown an ability to cover heavy innings on some occasions with seven starts of at least six frames. He's at a 6.27 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 98:27 K:BB through 120.2 innings over 22 starts this season. Freeland is lined up to make his next start at home versus the Dodgers, which will be a challenging matchup. He has allowed 14 runs over nine innings in two previous starts versus the Dodgers this season, both of which were in Los Angeles rather than Colorado.

Peters went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run Friday against the Tigers.

Peters took Jackson Jobe deep in the fourth inning to tie the game at 3-3, his seventh home run of the season. He has had a disastrous start to the second half of the season, as he's hit just .153 with seven RBI and seven runs scored across 25 games. Despite those struggles, Peters remains the White Sox's primary center fielder against righties, but he has been out of the lineup against the last six lefties.

Edman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-1 win over the Brewers.

Edman has struggled a bit in August, going just 8-for-47 (.170) over 13 contests this month. He has swatted two homers and added five RBI. The utility man is batting .276 with a .760 OPS, four homers, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored, six doubles, two triples and four stolen bases over 47 games. Edman continues to see most of his playing time at second base in a starting role.

Pages went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 3-1 win over the Brewers.

Pages' fifth-inning homer restored a one-run lead for the Dodgers. The outfielder is putting together another solid month, going 15-for-51 (.294) with two homers and six RBI over 13 contests in August so far. On the year, he's batting .272 with a .796 OPS, 20 homers, 77 RBI, 68 runs scored, 24 doubles, two triples and 11 stolen bases over 122 contests.
