The Blue Jays recalled Lee from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, per Keegan Matheson of MLB.com.
Just four days after being optioned to Buffalo, Lee will rejoin the big-league club on Tuesday. In five appearances with Toronto this year, the 27-year-old owns a 5.06 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 2:5 K:BB and one save through 5.1 innings. The Blue Jays sent Jameson Taillon (forearm) to the 15-day IL on Tuesday, clearing a spot on the active roster for Lee.

Blue Jays' Jameson Taillon: Sent to IL
Toronto placed Taillon on the 15-day injured list with right forearm tendinitis on Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Taillon completed just four innings Monday against Boston before being removed with discomfort in his right forearm. The 34-year-old will head to the IL for the second time this season and first time as a member of the Blue Jays. The right-hander made just two starts for Toronto since being dealt to the club on Aug. 2 from the Cubs. The Blue Jays recalled Chase Lee from Triple-A Buffalo to take Taillon's spot on the active roster.

Okamoto (knee) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Red Sox.
After missing Monday's series opener with Boston due to a left knee contusion, Okamoto will return to the starting lineup on Tuesday. The 30-year-old will handle duties in the hot corner and bat seventh for Toronto.

The Tigers selected Rainey's contract from Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.
Rainey will make his first appearance in the big leagues this season after having his contract selected by Detroit on Tuesday. The 32-year-old has posted a 5-3 record, 2.32 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 60:26 K:BB through 42.2 innings at Triple-A Toledo this season. Rainey's promotion comes in the wake of Enmanuel De Jesus heading out on paternity leave.

Tigers' Enmanuel De Jesus: Placed on paternity leave
Detroit placed De Jesus on the paternity list on Tuesday, per Evan Woodbery of MLive.com.
With the birth of his child on the way, the Tigers are placing De Jesus on paternity leave. The 29-year-old can spend up to three days on the paternity list, so he should be back with the Tigers by Friday's series opener versus the White Sox.

Marlins' Kyle Stowers: Heading to injured list
Miami placed Stowers on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain on Tuesday.
Stowers exited Sunday's series finale early against the Angels with discomfort in his left hamstring, and the injury proved serious enough to warrant a trip to the injured list. The 28-year-old will be sidelined for at least 10 days for the second time this season, after also missing the first three weeks-plus of the campaign due to a right hamstring strain. The left-handed-hitting Stowers has batted .242/.327/.462 with 16 home runs and 52 RBI in 399 plate appearances this season. Miami recalled Graham Pauley from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

Cubs' Edward Cabrera: Third rehab start coming Tuesday
Cabrera (hamstring) is slated to make the third start of his rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Knoxville, MLB.com reports.
Cabrera will bump down a level after making his first two rehab starts at Triple-A Iowa. The right-hander, who has been on the shelf since June 24 due to a left hamstring/adductor strain, most recently covered 55 pitches over four innings Wednesday, striking out eight batters in that outing while allowing one unearned run on one hit and no walks. If he's able to build on that pitch count Tuesday, Cabrera should get the green light to return from the 15-day injured list to make his next start in the big leagues.
