Prielipp (finger) threw a bullpen session at Target Field on Thursday and is expected to be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday's home game versus the Athletics, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports.

The Twins have yet to announce a starter for Saturday's contest, but all signs point to Prielipp getting the nod, assuming his bullpen session went according to plan. Minnesota placed Prielipp on the IL on July 9 after he developed a blister on his middle finger, with the trip to the shelf enabling the Twins to manage his workload during the second half of the season. Prielipp -- who underwent elbow surgeries in 2021 and 2023 -- is already up to 85.1 innings this season between the majors and Triple-A St. Paul, after he tossed a career-high 101.1 innings across three minor-league affiliates in 2025. He was limited to three frames during his rehab start with St. Paul last weekend, and it wouldn't be surprising if Prielipp were capped at around four or five innings in his first start back from the IL.

Ragsdale is 20-for-65 (.308) with seven home runs, 13 RBI, six stolen bases and an 18:21 BB:K through 18 games with Double-A Biloxi.

A sizzling start to the season with High-A Wisconsin earned Ragsdale a promotion to Biloxi, and he has fared even better in the OPS department than he did at his first stop. The Brewers do not lack quality prospects, and Ragsdale has firmly put his name in the mix.

Outman isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Outman will move to the bench for a second straight game after starting five of Detroit's first seven games after the All-Star break. Riley Greene, Matt Vierling and Zach McKinstry will patrol the outfield while Outman rests.

Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Pirates.

The star center fielder got the Cubs on the board by taking Jared Jones deep in the sixth inning. It was his first long ball since July 8 and his 22nd of the season, and over 17 games this month he's delivered a .288/.447/.593 slash line with four homers, five steals, 10 RBI and 13 runs.

Anderson struck out seven batters over five perfect innings in a start with Double-A Arkansas on Friday.

Presumably due to rest, Anderson hadn't taken the mound in three weeks before Friday, but he picked up right where he left off and showed no signs of rust. The Mariners plans for Anderson over the rest of 2026 aren't clear, but with the lefty sporting a 1.27 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and eye-popping 115:10 K:BB in 77.2 innings on the season, it's evident Double-A batters are no match for him.

Torkelson isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Torkelson will get a day off Saturday after going 0-for-7 with five strikeouts through the first two games of the series. His absence will put Colt Keith at first base, allowing Hao-Yu Lee to start at the hot corner.

Hollowell was charged with an unearned run in the 10th inning Friday without allowing a hit or a walk, recording his first save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Pirates. He didn't strike out a batter.

The right-hander entered the game after the Cubs took a 3-1 lead in the top of the 10th, and while Hollowell couldn't stop the phantom runner from coming around to score, the Bucs didn't get anyone else on base. Jacob Webb had worked the eighth inning and Caleb Thielbar the ninth, but Hollowell could be positioning himself for more high-leverage work. Since rejoining the big-league roster in late June, he's delivered a 0.00 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 10:3 K:BB through 8.2 innings.

Dingler isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Dingler will step out of the lineup Saturday after going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and a hit-by-pitch in Friday's contest. Jake Rogers will fill in as the Tigers' catcher and bat ninth.

Boyd didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Pirates, allowing one run on seven hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out four.

The veteran lefty ran into trouble in the fifth inning, walking two batters and then giving up two singles before he could record an out, but Boyd limited the damage to a single run before giving the Cubs two more clean frames. He left the mound after 97 pitches (64 strikes) having produced his fourth quality start of the season, and Boyd's six-decision win streak remains intact -- he hasn't been saddled with a loss since March 26. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is set to come on the road next week in St. Louis.

Caglianone (shoulder) will start in right field and bat third Saturday against Detroit.

Caglianone missed out on the starting lineup in each of Kansas City's last three games due to a sore right shoulder, though he was able to enter Friday's game off the bench. Now that the issue appears to have subsided, he'll return to the starting nine and look to remain hot after having accumulated a 10-game hitting streak earlier this month.
