Zack Gelof 3B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Absent from lineup
Gelof isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.
Gelof's hit streak remains alive and well at 23 games, but the A's will give him a chance to catch his breath Saturday. His absence will allow Max Muncy to start at third base while batting eighth.

Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Getting breather Saturday
Moreno isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Minnesota.
Moreno has gone 9-for-25 (.360) over his last six games, but the D-backs will keep him in the dugout to begin Saturday's contest. Adrian Del Castillo will instead start behind home plate.

Luke Raley RF | SEA
Mariners' Luke Raley: Out again Saturday
Raley (illness) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox.
Raley was originally expected to return to the lineup Friday, but he'll instead miss a fifth consecutive start Saturday while he recovers from the flu. Connor Joe, Julio Rodriguez and Rob Refsnyder will make up the Mariners' outfield unit with Raley out.
-
Victor Robles RF | SEA
Mariners' Victor Robles: Sitting after six straight starts
Robles is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Boston.
Though he'll be on the bench Saturday, Robles had started in each of the Mariners' last six games and looks like the top choice to make starts in left field while Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is shelved. While Robles rests, the Mariners will go with Connor Joe, Julio Rodriguez and Rob Refsnyder as their starting outfield trio from left to right.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Back in lineup
Ohtani (paternity) will serve as the Dodgers' designated hitter and bat leadoff Saturday against the Orioles, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
After missing Friday's game for the birth of his second child, Ohtani will rejoin the team Saturday and reclaim his spot as the Dodgers' leadoff man. He's tallied just two hits across his last five games but still boasts a .360/.484/.760 slash line in 62 plate appearances since the beginning of June.

J.C. Escarra C | NYY
Yankees' J.C. Escarra: Sent back to Triple-A
The Yankees optioned Escarra to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
The Yankees sent Escarra down to the minors earlier this month but were forced to bring him back a day later once Austin Wells (head) landed on the IL. Now that Wells is set to return to the active roster Sunday, Escarra will move back to Triple-A after posting a .493 OPS in 91 plate appearances with the Pinstripes. Ali Sanchez will remain as the backup catcher in the Bronx.

David Peterson SP | CHC
Mets' David Peterson: Tapped for start Sunday
Peterson will start Sunday's game against the Phillies in Philadelphia, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.
Peterson has surrendered nine earned runs in just 6.2 innings across his last two appearances out of the bullpen, but the Mets will nonetheless turn to him to fill the open spot in their rotation in the series finale. The Phillies have turned in a weak .670 OPS across their last 10 contests, but the 30-year-old southpaw's recent performance puts a low ceiling on his fantasy appeal.

Geoff Hartlieb RP | ATH
Athletics' Geoff Hartlieb: Joins big-league bullpen
The Athletics recalled Hartlieb from Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
With Mark Leiter (hip) headed for the injured list, the A's will turn to Hartlieb to plug the hole in their bullpen. The 32-year-old righty has spent the entire season at Las Vegas, posting a 3.48 ERA and 1.39 WHIP across 33.2 innings in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. He's likely set for middle-relief work as long as he's in the majors.

Mark Leiter RP | ATH
Athletics' Mark Leiter: Moves to injured list
The Athletics placed Leiter on the 15-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to Thursday, due to a right hip impingement, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Leiter has given up just one earned run in his last 14 innings, but the A's will be without his services for at least a couple of weeks while he recovers from a hip injury. Geoff Hartlieb was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas to replenish the team's bullpen depth.

Tim Tawa LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Tim Tawa: Recalled from Reno
The Diamondbacks recalled Tawa from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.
Tawa was sent down to Triple-A at the beginning of June after posting a .519 OPS across 70 plate appearances, but he's slashed .351/.439/.772 with five homers, 16 RBI and 13 runs scored in 15 games at Reno. He'll now rejoin the Diamondbacks as the replacement for the injured Jordan Lawlar (hamstring), though Tawa will likely be limited to a bench role while Jorge Barrosa receives an uptick in playing time.
