    Jung was removed from Tuesday's game versus the White Sox with left calf tightness. He sat out Wednesday and the Rangers had an off day Thursday, but Jung still isn't ready to rejoin the lineup. Ezequiel Duran will again fill in at third base.

    Muncy is out of the Dodgers lineup for Friday's series opener against the Mets.

    Despite Thursday's day off for the Dodgers, the lefty-batting Muncy will ride the bench for Friday's matchup against Mets southpaw starter Sean Manaea. Tommy Edman will move over to third base and bat third for the Dodgers in Muncy's absence.

    Phillies' Brian Keller: Will be added to roster Saturday

    The Phillies will call up Keller from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to either start or pitch in bulk relief Saturday against the Yankees, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

    Keller inked a minor-league contract with the Phillies in May and has logged a 2.23 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 38:11 K:BB in 36.1 innings over eight starts for Lehigh Valley. The 32-year-old will be making his major-league debut Saturday after seven seasons in the minors and one in Japan.

    Athletics' Luis Morales: Called up to A's

    The Athletics recalled Morales from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

    After spending over a month with the Triple-A club, Morales will make his way back to the Athletics. With Las Vegas, the 23-year-old posted a 7.18 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and 57:33 K:BB in 52.2 innings this season. The A's optioned Yunior Tur to Las Vegas to make room for Morales on the active roster.

    Yankees' Austin Wells: Idle Friday

    Wells is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Philadelphia.

    Wells will ride the bench for his second consecutive game after sitting out the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Pittsburgh. Ali Sanchez will be behind the plate and bat ninth for the Yankees.

    Chisholm is not in the lineup for Friday's matchup against the Phillies.

    Chisholm will take his first rest day since the All-Star break for Friday's series opener. Jose Caballero will play second base and bat eighth for the Yankees.

    The Guardians optioned Dion to Triple-A Columbus on Friday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

    Dion logged three appearances during his most recent stint with the big club, yielding two runs with a 7:0 K:BB over 4.1 innings. He'll be replaced on the roster by Tim Herrin (elbow), who is back from the injured list.

  • Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Demoted to Triple-A

    The Guardians optioned Schneemann to Triple-A Columbus on Friday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

    Schneemann had been with the Guardians all season, but he's slashed just .155/.222/.213 since May 1. His roster spot will be filled by Angel Martinez (foot), who is back from the injured list.

    Rays' Taylor Walls: Remains out Friday

    Walls (fingers) is out of the lineup for Friday's matchup against the Guardians.

    Walls will miss his second consecutive game after hyperextending his middle and ring fingers on his left hand in Wednesday's matchup against Toronto. Ben Williamson will once again man shortstop and bat eighth for Tampa Bay.
