The White Sox selected Pham's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

The veteran outfielder was acquired from the Phillies for cash considerations Monday and will quickly join the White Sox with MLB rosters expanding to 28 players Tuesday. Pham went 0-for-13 in nine games for the Mets early this season but has spent most of the year with the Phillies at Triple-A, where he posted a .239/.365/.410 slash line with eight homers in 44 contests.

The Orioles selected De Leon's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.

De Leon holds a 4.73 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 121:53 K:BB over 99 innings between Double-A Chesapeake and Norfolk this season. He was recently shifted to the bullpen at Norfolk but has been shaky, allowing four runs with a 6:6 K:BB over 3.2 innings. However, De Leon has a big arm and could be a weapon in relief for the Orioles if he can find the strike zone.

The Pirates selected Bethancourt's contract from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

The veteran backstop was acquired from the Yankees for cash in mid-August and will now get his first look in the majors with Pittsburgh. Bethancourt last appeared in the majors in 2024 and had a .209/.241/.367 slash line in 62 regular-season games with the Marlins and Cubs. He isn't likely to see much playing time as the club's No. 3 catcher behind Rafael Flores and Henry Davis.

The Pirates transferred Rodriguez (hip) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

The transaction clears space on the 40-man roster for the addition of Christian Bethancourt. Rodriguez underwent season-ending surgery last week to repair the labrum in his left hip.

The Pirates recalled Eisert from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Eisert will give manager Don Kelly another lefty for the bullpen. The 28-year-old has posted a 6.29 ERA in 34.1 major-league innings this season, but a 40:12 K:BB is more promising.

The Guardians selected Hernandez's contract from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Hernandez got a late start to the season after getting injured in a car accident back in January, but he's authored a 5.40 ERA and 20:7 K:BB over 13.1 innings with Columbus. The big righty will work in low-leverage spots.

The Rays recalled Cook from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Cook was called up for his MLB debut in late July and was returned to Durham after giving up three runs with a 2:2 K:BB in two relief appearances. The right-hander has made 38 appearances at Triple-A this year and has a 4.53 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB across 43.2 innings.

The Guardians recalled Schneemann from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Schneemann hit .326/.457/.533 in 25 games for Columbus after being demoted in late July. He's sporting just a .597 OPS in the majors this season and should serve in a backup role at multiple positions in September.

The Orioles optioned Povich to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The move comes one day after Povich held the Rockies to one run over five innings in a spot start Monday at Coors Field. Povich will rejoin the Norfolk rotation but could get another look in the majors later this month, depending on where the Orioles are in the playoff hunt.

The Rays reinstated Mesa (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined since Aug. 18 due to a strained left hamstring, but he's ready to rejoin the active roster after going 4-for-18 with two homers during a five-game rehab assignment. Mesa and Jonny DeLuca could operate as a platoon in right field, with Mesa holding the advantage for playing time as a left-handed hitter.
