Trout went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Thursday's 7-0 win over the Rangers.

This was Trout's second three-hit effort in a row, and he's also driven in five runs over his last seven games. The veteran outfielder is batting .273 (12-for-44) in August, lifting himself up to a .245 average on the year. He's added an .837 OPS, 20 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 45 RBI and 69 runs scored over 103 games.

Urena (8-8) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out five over six shutout innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Urena threw 65 of 100 pitches for strikes in this rebound performance. He had been tagged for four runs over 2.1 innings in his previous start, but Thursday's outing was more in line with what he's shown throughout the year. The rookie has a 2.67 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 102:57 K:BB through 107.2 innings over 22 games (20 starts). Urena's continuing high walk rate remains a concern -- he's issued 20 free passes over 36 innings since the start of July, but he's shown an ability to limit damage. His next start is projected to be on the road in Houston.

Lopez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 7-0 loss to the Angels.

Lopez entered the contest just 1-for-12 over his last six games. The steal was his first since July 2 versus the Tigers, and he hasn't been particularly active since that date with just two stolen-base attempts. On the year, the infielder is batting .268 with a .621 OPS, one home run, 20 RBI, 19 runs scored, three doubles, one triple and five steals over 211 plate appearances.

Marsh went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, two walks and an additional run scored in Thursday's 7-1 win over the Twins.

Marsh reached safely in all four of his plate appearances, drawing a pair of walks and adding a single before launching a two-run homer into the corn behind right field in the seventh inning. The blast was his 17th of the season, establishing a new career high across his six major-league seasons. The milestone comes amid a difficult second half for Marsh, who batted .301 across 92 games before the All-Star break but has hit just .185 over 26 games since the break.

Schwarber went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Thursday's 7-1 win over the Twins.

Schwarber wasted no time making an impact in MLB's Field of Dreams game, leading off the night with a solo homer against Taj Bradley before taking the right-hander deep again for a two-run shot in the fourth inning. It marked his second multi-homer performance in his last five contests. After opening August in a 0-for-17 skid, Schwarber has quickly turned things around, going 11-for-30 (.367) with nine RBI over his last eight games. Through 117 contests this season, he's batting .250 with a .915 OPS and has slugged his way back atop the MLB leaderboard with 37 home runs.

Crews went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's 7-0 win over the Cubs.

Crews opened the scoring in the fourth inning with an RBI double off Kevin Gausman. He added a single an inning later, stole second base and came around to score one batter later during Washington's five-run frame. The multi-hit effort was a welcome sight after Crews entered Thursday batting just .140 across 11 August games. Through 293 plate appearances this season, he owns a .218/.290/.372 slash line with 10 home runs, 11 doubles, 27 RBI, 40 runs and eight stolen bases.

Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 7-0 win over the Cubs.

Ortiz delivered the biggest blow of Washington's five-run fifth inning, taking Kevin Gausman deep for a three-run homer. The rookie has wasted little time making an impact since his call-up, going deep four times in just 10 games. During that stretch, Ortiz is batting 9-for-28 (.321) with eight RBI, providing an immediate source of power in what was already baseball's top scoring lineup.

Gausman (6-11) took the loss Thursday against the Nationals, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out seven over 4.2 innings.

Gausman opened the afternoon with three perfect innings before Washington broke through for a run in the fourth. Things unraveled in the fifth, when the veteran right-hander was tagged for five runs, highlighted by an Abimelec Ortiz three-run homer. The performance was a stark contrast to Gausman's Cubs debut six days prior, when he worked seven innings while allowing just two runs. It's been a down year overall for Gausman, whose 4.60 ERA would be his highest since 2019 if he can't significantly improve it down the stretch. He's lined up to face the White Sox at home in his next start.

Cavalli (10-5) earned the win Thursday against the Cubs, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out 10 over eight scoreless innings.

Cavalli set a career high with 103 pitches and reached double-digit strikeouts while delivering the longest outing of his career. The right-hander carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before Michael Busch broke it up with a two-out single. Cavalli has now recorded seven consecutive quality starts, posting a 2.25 ERA with 46 strikeouts across 44 innings during that stretch. He has won seven of his last eight decisions and his season ERA is down to 3.36 alongside a 1.24 WHIP and 151:41 K:BB across 136.2 innings. Cavalli will seek to carry Thursday's dominance into his next scheduled start Wednesday against Texas.

Nola (4-9) earned the win Thursday against the Twins, allowing one run on five hits and three walks while striking out nine over five innings.

Nola threw 58 of his 97 pitches for strikes and secured his first victory since May 26. His lone blemish was a solo homer by Luke Keaschall in the second inning, increasing his MLB-leading total to 30 home runs allowed this season. The right-hander finished on a strong note, recording three strikeouts in the fifth to escape a bases-loaded jam. Nola has now completed at least five innings in eight straight starts while piling up 51 strikeouts across 45 innings during that span. He'll carry a 5.33 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 138:46 K:BB across 130 innings into his next scheduled start Wednesday at home against Miami.
