Moncada (knee) has been rehabbing at his home and hasn't started baseball activities, MLB.com reports.

Moncada underwent right knee surgery in mid-June and was consequently placed on the 60-day IL. While the veteran third baseman is expected to return this season, a definitive timeline isn't clear given his inability to resume baseball activities to this point. Denzer Guzman and Vaughn Grissom have been sharing duties at the hot corner for the Angels of late.

Mangum was scratched for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Yankees due to right foot discomfort.

Per Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Mangum fouled a ball off his foot during the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader but stayed in the game to finish 2-for-5 with an RBI single in a 5-3 extra-inning win. The Pirates will have an update on Mangum's status after he undergoes further tests to determine the severity of the injury. Billy Cook will take over in center field and bat ninth.

Snell (elbow) tossed 1.1 innings in a minor-league rehab outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, allowing one hit and issuing one walk while striking out four batters on 32 total pitches.

The outing was Snell's first game action since his lone MLB appearance so far this season, May 9 versus Atlanta. After that start, the veteran lefty experienced elbow soreness and ultimately needed a NanoScope procedure to remove loose bodies. Snell resumed throwing in early June and has since been able to work his way back up to the rehab assignment. He's scheduled to make his next rehab appearance Friday, per MLB.com, and could be ready to return to the big-league club in early-to-mid August.

Caballero isn't in the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Pittsburgh.

After going 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts during New York's matinee loss, Caballero will move to the bench to begin the nightcap. Anthony Volpe will step in as the Yankees' shortstop and bat seventh.

Wells isn't in the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Pirates.

Wells went 1-for-1 with a walk and a run scored during the first half of the twin bill and will watch the nightcap from the bench while Ali Sanchez starts at catcher and bats ninth.

Smith is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Smith will wind up taking a seat for all three games of the series with Miami, though he made an impact off the bench in the opener Monday by walking in his lone plate appearance and claiming his 10th stolen base of the season. Taylor Trammell covered right field for the first two games against the Marlins, but LaMonte Wade will occupy the position in the finale. Smith could be part of a committee in right field while he's been in a prolonged slump at the plate. Dating back to July 4, Smith is slashing just .105/.186/.184 over a stretch of 13 contests.

Altuve is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Altuve will head to the bench for the first time since June 28, ending a streak of 17 consecutive starts. Nick Allen will fill in for Altuve at the keystone in the series finale.

Giolito (elbow) has been throwing at San Diego's team complex in Arizona and may be close to facing hitters, MLB.com reports.

Giolito has been sidelined for the past month due to right elbow inflammation. The veteran hurler resumed throwing in late June and has progressed enough to potentially toss a live session soon. Giolito will likely need a minor-league rehab assignment before he's ready to return to the Padres, so it seems unlikely that he'll be back with the big club before the start of August.

Wong isn't in the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Baltimore.

After going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts during Boston's matinee victory, Wong will get a chance to rest his legs during Game 2. Carlos Narvaez will take over behind the plate and bat ninth.

Pederson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

The Rangers will keep Pederson on the bench for the second day in a row while the White Sox send another lefty starter (Anthony Kay) to the bump. Wyatt Langford will replace Pederson as the Rangers' designated hitter and leadoff batter.
