Garcia (hand) is expected to resume a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday.

Garcia has been on the injured list since June 22 due to a strained muscle in his left hand. He had previously been cleared to begin a rehab assignment with Northwest Arkansas on July 28, but he suffered a setback in his lone appearance for the Double-A affiliate. Manager Matt Quatraro said over the weekend that the 26-year-old was progressing toward a return to game action, and Garcia now appears ready to play for the first time in two and a half weeks. Garcia hasn't been able to replicate his success from a breakout 2025 campaign, but he still owns a respectable .261 average with three home runs, 30 RBI, 32 runs scored and five stolen bases over 69 contests with the Royals this season.

Jax (elbow) received an injection in right elbow after visiting with Dr. Keith Meister in Dallas, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Jax was placed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow discomfort Sunday, and manager Kevin Cash outlined that the injection was to "calm the back of the elbow down." Cash also explained that Jax is "in a really good spot" and that the team will "take the ball out of his hand for two more days and then get him back throwing." Jax appears to have avoided a worst-case scenario, and he could be on track for a return to action relatively close to when he's first eligible Aug. 21.

Greene exited Tuesday's game versus Cleveland in the third inning as a result of right hamstring tightness.

Greene was hit by a pitch on his right leg while leading off the bottom of the second frame, and it's possible that he tweaked his hamstring while running the bases during the inning. Greene can be considered day-to-day for the time being, and additional information on the injury will likely come following the conclusion of Tuesday's contest.

Kurtz (thumb) is set to spend three more weeks in a brace after receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection last Tuesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Kurtz received the injection when he initially landed on the injured list last week with a strained right thumb. He's scheduled to shed his brace at the beginning of September, but with the 47-72 A's well out of the race for a postseason berth, the team likely won't be in much of a hurry to bring him back. If the Athletics opt to shut Kurtz down for the year, Jeff McNeil and Tommy White figure to split reps at first base for the rest of the season.

Glasnow (back) will make another minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Glasnow is set to be stretched out to roughly four innings and/or 60 total pitches in the outing as the Dodgers continue to slowly ease him back into a full workload. The right-hander is then expected to throw one more rehab start following Friday's outing before Los Angeles would consider activating him from the 60-day injured list. Glasnow has been sidelined since May 8 while recovering from lower back spasms, and he appears to be on track to return to the major-league roster before the end of August.

Gallen (elbow) completed a 33-pitch bullpen session in Arizona on Tuesday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Gallen was able to complete the throwing session without any issues, successfully taking the next step in his recovery from right elbow inflammation. The right-hander isn't eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list until Sept. 7, so Gallen could throw another bullpen session or two before moving on to facing live hitters and eventually heading out on a rehab assignment.

Burnes (elbow/shoulder) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session in Arizona on Tuesday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Burnes has been sidelined for the entirety of the 2026 campaign while recovering from June 2025 Tommy John surgery and a teres major strain, the latter of which resulted in him being shut down from throwing in early June. The right-hander has been throwing bullpen sessions for approximately two weeks and looks to be on track for a return from the 60-day injured list in early September.

Greene (leg) was removed from Tuesday's contest against the Guardians in the third inning, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Greene took a 92.1 mph sinker from Cleveland right-hander Tanner Bibee off his right leg to open the bottom of the second inning, and he was ultimately able to stay in the game long enough to score on a one-out RBI double by Spencer Torkelson. Greene was then taken out of the game prior to the top of the third frame, and Ben Malgeri took over in left field. Greene will likely undergo imaging on the leg, and more information on his status will likely be provided in the near future.

Treinen (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Treinen has been on the injured list since June 20 while recovering from right elbow inflammation, and he was able to face live hitters July 29. The 38-year-old will still be eligible to be activated from the IL late next week, though he will likely require a multi-outing minor-league rehab assignment, making a return in late August or early September more likely. In a corresponding move, Blake Snell (elbow) was activated from the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

The Dodgers optioned Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Barnes was brought up to the big club Monday, but he'll now be pushed off the active roster without making an appearance for the Dodgers to make room for Blake Snell (elbow), who returned from the IL to start Tuesday's game against Kansas City. Barnes has given up 10 runs in 13 major-league innings this season but could return to Los Angeles down the stretch to provide a fresh bullpen arm.
