Mets' Joey Gerber: Lands on injured list
The Mets placed Gerber on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right finger blister.

Michael Grove SP | TB
Rays' Michael Grove: Signed by Rays
The Rays signed Grove to a major-league contract Tuesday and placed him on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder surgery.
In a corresponding move, the Rays transferred Ryan Pepiot to the 60-day injured list due to right hip inflammation. Grove was last seen with the Dodgers when he was outrighted to Triple-A Oklahoma City in November after missing the entire 2025 season due to surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

Austin Warren RP | NYM
Mets' Austin Warren: Recalled from Syracuse
The Mets recalled Warren from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.
With Joey Gerber (finger) headed to the injured list, Warren will join the big-league roster to fill the open spot in New York's bullpen. The 30-year-old righty allowed just one earned run over 9.1 innings with the Mets last season but finished with a 5.16 ERA and 1.42 WHIP over 52.1 frames in Triple-A. He's off to a much better start this year (1.23 ERA through 7.1 IP) but will still likely be limited to middle relief while in the majors.

Astros' Spencer Arrighetti: Set to start against Colorado
Arrighetti will be recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land to start against the Rockies on Wednesday or Thursday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Houston's rotation has been hit hard by injuries, losing Cristian Javier (shoulder) and Tatsuya Imai (arm) within the past week alone. Arrighetti will come up to fill one of the vacancies, and his first matchup will come at home against a Rockies offense that's struggled to a .674 OPS through its first 16 games.

Tatsuya Imai SP | HOU
Astros' Tatsuya Imai: Imaging comes back clean
Imaging on Imai's right arm came back negative, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Imai landed on the injured list Monday due to right arm fatigue, but he doesn't appear to be dealing with a structural issue. The team now plans to build up the 27-year-old's arm strength before having him begin a throwing progression. It remains unclear how soon he will be able to return to the Astros' rotation.

Padres' Miguel Andujar: Riding pine Tuesday
Andujar isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus Seattle.
Andujar owns a .967 OPS across 27 plate appearances since April 1, but he'll now retreat to the bench for a second consecutive game. His absence will put Gavin Sheets in the DH spot while Ty France starts at first base.
