The Reds optioned Johnson to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.

Johnson received only eight plate appearances over nearly two weeks during his most recent stint in the majors. The Reds will announce a corresponding roster move ahead of Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Compton has produced a .348/.432/.791 slash line with 15 home runs in 32 games for Double-A Pensacola.

Promoted from High-A Beloit in late June, Compton has been destroying Southern League pitching ever since, and per Christina De Nicola of MLB.com his 12 homers in July set a new franchise record for Pensacola in addition to earning him Hitter of the Month honors in the Marlins' system. The 46th overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft, Compton has split his time between the outfield corners and DH this season as he tries to find a defensive home, but it's his bat that will carry him to the majors -- during that blistering July, he ranked in the 100th percentile in hard-hit rate at Double-A with a 64.4 percent mark.

Bateman went 2-for-6 with an RBI in Sunday's extra-innings loss to the Phillies.

The Blue Jays deployed right-handed hitters Myles Straw and Davis Schneider in the outfield corners, but the lefty-swinging Bateman stayed in center field and manned the leadoff spot against southpaw Jesus Luzardo. Bateman even got a hit off Luzardo, a single in the fifth inning that produced his first RBI in the majors. The 24-year-old has started three straight games in center field since his promotion, going 3-for-14 with a double, two walks and two runs scored, and Bateman's combination of defense, speed, plate discipline and solid contact skills have quickly moved him to the top of the depth chart with Daulton Varsho now in Houston.

Kinley struck out one in a perfect 10th inning Sunday to record his first save of the season in a win over the Yankees.

Didier Fuentes worked the eighth inning and allowed the tying run while closer Raisel Iglesias handled the ninth, leaving manager Walt Weiss to turn to Kinley after Atlanta plated a run in the top of the 10th. The right-hander got the job done, fanning former Rockies teammate Ryan McMahon to end the game. It was Kinley's 22nd career save, but his first in an Atlanta uniform since being acquired at the 2025 trade deadline. Through 41 innings over 47 appearances this season, he's produced a 3.95 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 40:18 K:BB while picking up six wins and 12 holds.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's extra-inning win over the Yankees.

The star first baseman produced the game's first run when he took Cam Schlittler deep in the seventh inning. Olson is up to 34 homers on the season, tied for third in the majors with the Rockies' Hunter Goodman and just one back of the Phillies' Kyle Schwarber and the Astros' Yordan Alvarez, and seven of them have come in his last 12 games -- a stretch in which the Atlanta slugger boasts a .289/.347/.822 slash line with nine RBI and 11 runs.

Henderson (elbow) tossed 4.2 hitless innings Sunday in his 2026 debut at Triple-A Memphis after being reinstated from the 60-day injured list.

Henderson was effectively wild, managing to hold Nashville off the scoreboard despite walking four and not recording a strikeout. The left-hander entered the Memphis rotation following four rehab starts, as he missed the first three months of the season with a flexor strain. Henderson doesn't have wipeout stuff but has been highly effective thus far in the minors, having posted a 2.59 ERA and 134:51 K:BB over 132 innings covering 25 starts with Double-A Springfield in 2025.

Atlanta released Mateo on Sunday.

Mateo is now officially a free agent after passing through waivers unclaimed following his removal from Atlanta's 40-man roster. The veteran utility player is a career .223/.268/.365 over parts of seven major-league seasons.

White started in right field and went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

White made a second consecutive start in right field, as Wilyer Abreu operated as the designated hitter Sunday following a day off Saturday due to lower-leg soreness. White was acquired from Atlanta at the trade deadline and will fill in where needed in the outfield. Since joining Boston, he's appeared in six games (two starts) and gone 3-for-11 with a walk, an RBI and three runs.

Abreu started at designated hitter and went 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

Abreu, who was held out of Saturday's lineup with lower-leg soreness, was back in action Sunday but did not play the field. His fifth-inning sacrifice fly gave Boston a 3-2 lead before the A's came back late. It was the sixth consecutive game with an RBI for Abreu, who was delivered 10 runs during that stretch. The two-time Gold Glove winning outfielder was replaced in the right field by Eli White the last two games.

Nimmo went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 10-5 loss to the Orioles.

The Rangers were chasing early, down 5-0 after two innings, when Nimmo narrowed the deficit to two with a homer off Cade Povich. It was the 13th homer of the season and third this month for Nimmo, who is enjoying a productive beginning of August. The outfielder is 12-for-29 (.414) with three home runs, seven RBI, one steal and five runs scored over eight August games.
