Gonzalez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

The left-handed-hitting Gonzalez will head to the bench for the second time in the series while the Mets send another lefty starter (Sean Manaea) to the bump. Jared Triolo will step in for Gonzalez at shortstop and will bat eighth.

Horwitz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

After starting the past three games, the left-handed hitter will retreat to the bench while southpaw Sean Manaea toes the rubber for the Mets. Rafael Flores will replace Horwitz at first base and bat seventh.

Rodriguez (hip) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Rodriguez will receive a third straight game off while he tends to left hip discomfort. Henry Davis will draw another start behind the plate in place of Rodriguez, who is considered day-to-day.

Mitchell is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Mitchell started the previous 12 contests and will receive a day off amid a 5-for-53 slump, which has dropped his OPS 70 points to .763. Brandon Lockridge is instead starting in center field Sunday for the Brewers.

Polanco is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Polanco served as the designated hitter for the first two games of the series, but he'll cede those duties to Brett Baty in the finale. Since being activated from the 60-day injured list July 7, Polanco has yet to start more than two consecutive games and has put together a wretched .097/.138/.177 slash line with one home run, three RBI and four runs.

The Rangers transferred Leiter (ankle) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

The right-hander has been on the shelf since mid-June, so the move to the 60-day IL isn't expected to affect his return timeline. Leiter threw 33 pitches over two innings of live batting practice Saturday and is set to throw a bullpen session Monday, per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. According to Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com, if Monday's side session goes well, Leiter will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Frisco on Thursday and will be slated to throw 2-to-3 innings.

De La Cruz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

De La Cruz has moved into a reserve role in the aftermath of Monday's trade deadline. With the Phillies bringing aboard Luis Arraez and installing him as their everyday second baseman, Bryce Harper has settled into an everyday role in right field as part of a domino effect that has also resulted in Bryson Stott and Alec Bohm changing positions. De La Cruz will hit the bench Sunday for the fifth time in six games.

Meidroth is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians due to left wrist discomfort, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

The White Sox aren't viewing the wrist issue as anything more than a day-to-day concern, and Meidroth is expected to return to the starting nine following Monday's off day. Sam Antonacci will fill in at second base Sunday.

The Rangers optioned Osuna to Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Osuna has been up with the Rangers most of the season after spending the first few weeks of the campaign in the minors, but he'll now make his way back to Round Rock. The 23-year-old has underwhelmed at the plate this season with a .255/.347/.297 slash line in 220 plate appearances. Jonah Bride was called up from Triple-A to replace Osuna on the active roster.

Lukes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Southpaw Jesus Luzardo is on the bump for the Phillies, so Blue Jays manager John Schneider will send Lukes and Jesus Sanchez to the bench to clear room in the outfield for a pair of right-handed bats in Myles Straw and Davis Schneider. Lukes has gone just 5-for-43 (.116) with a 3:14 BB:K against left-handed pitching this season.
