D'Arnaud isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins, Erica Weston of Angels Broadcast Television reports.

Saturday marks d'Arnaud's third straight absence from the starting lineup despite the veteran backstop having recorded a hit in each of his last two games. Tyler Heineman will handle catching duties and bat ninth.

Duran will start in left field and bat eighth Saturday against the Athletics.

Duran was left out of the first iteration of Saturday's lineup, but he'll join the starting nine to replace Wilyer Abreu, who was scratched with a calf injury. Duran owns a .685 OPS since the All-Star break but has slugged three home runs in six games since the beginning of August.

Abreu was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics due to swelling in his shin/calf.

Interim manager Chad Tracy said that the team had been trying to get the 27-year-old a day off during its 16-game stretch, per Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald, so Abreu will remain on the bench Saturday while he tends to his injury. In the meantime, Eli White will move over to right field, and Jarren Duran will enter the lineup to start in left.

The Athletics optioned Juenger to Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Juenger will lose his spot in the big-league bullpen after giving up four runs on five hits in just one inning during Friday's blowout loss against the Red Sox. Yunior Tur was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to fill the open spot on the 26-man active roster.

The Athletics recalled Tur from Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Tur gave up 14 earned runs in just 2.2 innings across his first two MLB appearances in July, and he's coughed up 11 runs in 2.2 frames since returning to Triple-A. Despite his poor form at Triple-A, he'll return to the majors to give the Athletics another fresh bullpen arm to work with.

Duran isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Duran will get a chance to catch his breath Saturday after slashing .250/.277/.408 across 84 plate appearances while playing in each of Boston's games since the All-Star break. Eli White will take over in left field and bat seventh.

Contreras (illness) will start at first base and bat fourth against the Athletics on Saturday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Contreras missed the Red Sox's last two games while fighting off an illness, but he appears to be feeling well enough to return to action Saturday. The 34-year-old has remained hot since the All-Star break, slashing .306/.485/.531 with three homers, nine RBI and 11 runs scored over his last 17 games.

Cruz walked one and struck out one in a scoreless seventh inning Friday to record his first career hold in Friday's win over the Reds.

Acquired from the Yankees in the Luis Garcia deal at the trade deadline, Cruz has quickly slid into a high-leverage role in the Nationals' bullpen. The right-hander topped out at 102 mph with his fastball but leaned heavily on his slider, which he used to fan Matt McLain and coax an inning-ending double play from Sal Stewart. Washington has been looking for a power arm to anchor the back of its bullpen all year, so Cruz should get a long look as a late-inning option. Through his first 6.2 big-league innings between the Yankees and Nats, he sports a 2.70 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 8:3 K:BB.

Semien went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's win over the Pirates.

He took Carmen Mlodzinski deep in the third inning, giving the Mets a 5-0 lead they were able to hold onto in an eventual 6-4 win. Semien has homered in back-to-back games, and his bat is showing signs of life late in the year -- over his last 12 contests, the 35-year-old is batting .306 (11-for-36) with four homers, two steals, 10 runs and 10 RBI.

Parker collected five hits, including two doubles and a home run, across both games of a doubleheader for Single-A Dunedin on Friday.

The eighth overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft has spent his entire first pro season at Single-A so far, but Parker is making a strong case for a promotion before the end of the year. He's hit safely in eight straight games, batting .441 (15-for-34) during that blistering stretch with eight extra-base hits, including four homers. Over his last 40 contests for Dunedin dating back to June 9, Parker has produced a .293/.403/.587 slash line with nine homers, nine steals, 38 runs, 41 RBI and an acceptable 23.8 percent strikeout rate.
