Ezequiel Duran 2B | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Enters for injured teammate
Duran entered Friday's 8-7 loss to the Dodgers to play left field after Wyatt Langford (quad) was removed and went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Duran extended a hit streak to three games with a ninth-inning RBI-single. Langford will undergo imaging to determine the severity of the injury. If the results of the testing leads to Langford missing games or a stint on the IL, either Duran or Sam Haggerty could fill in. Duran had been playing third base in place of the banged-up Josh Jung, who returned to duty Friday after a two-game absence.

Ryan Kreidler 3B | MIN
Twins' Ryan Kreidler: Recalled from Triple-A
The Twins recalled Kreidler from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Audra Martin of FanDuel Sports Network North reports.
With Royce Lewis (knee) headed for the IL, Kreidler will come up from Triple-A to give Minnesota additional depth in both the infield and outfield. The 28-year-old has gone 6-for-28 (.214) in the minors to begin the year and figures to sit on the bench most days while Tristan Gray starts at third base until Lewis returns.

Ildemaro Vargas 1B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ildemaro Vargas: Idle Saturday
Vargas isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Vargas has logged a hit in each of the first eight games he's played in to begin the year, but he'll move to the bench Saturday after making four consecutive starts. Jose Fernandez will replace him at first base and bat fifth.
-
Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Sitting out Saturday
Moreno (back) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.
Lower-back tightness forced Moreno to make an early exit from Friday's game and will now also cause him to miss a start. Adrian Del Castillo will start behind the plate with Moreno on the bench.

Sam Haggerty LF | TEX
Rangers' Sam Haggerty: Logs first steal
Haggerty entered Friday's game as a pinch runner, stole a base and scored a run in an 8-7 loss to the Dodgers.
Haggerty scored Texas' game-tying run in the ninth inning to erase a 7-4 deficit it faced to start the frame. He remained in the game to play left field, which had earlier been vacated when Wyatt Langford left with a quad injury. Ezequiel Duran initially replaced Langford, who will undergo imaging to determine the severity of his injury. Pending the results of Langford's test, there may be a need for a fill-in like the switch-hitting Haggerty. In limited playing time in 2025, he stole 12 bases over 64 games.

Corbin Carroll RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: In lineup as expected
Carroll (hip) will serve as Arizona's designated hitter and bat second against the Phillies on Saturday.
Carroll tweaked his hip while running the bases Wednesday, but he's now set to return to the starting nine following a couple of days off. The 25-year-old outfielder has been on fire to start the season, slashing .333/.408/.690 across 49 plate appearances and logging seven hits over his last three games.

Craig Kimbrel RP | NYM
Mets' Craig Kimbrel: Contract selected
The Mets selected Kimbrel's contract from Single-A St. Lucie on Saturday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Kimbrel reported to Single-A to begin the regular season after failing to win a roster spot out of spring training. He struck out two batters over two shutout frames at St. Lucie, and he'll now claim a spot in the Mets' bullpen. The 37-year-old's days of working as a closer are likely behind him, especially with Devin Williams on the roster, but Kimbrel could still be an effective middle reliever after putting up a 2.25 ERA across 12 innings between Houston and Atlanta last season.

Brant Hurter P | DET
Tigers' Brant Hurter: Earns first hold Friday
Hurter tossed a scoreless inning of relief with a strikeout and earned a hold in Friday's 2-0 win over the Marlins.
After six scoreless innings from starter Keider Montero, Hurter kept things going with a scoreless seventh ahead of setup man Kyle Finnegan and closer Kenley Jansen. Hurter has been decently effective in his middle-relief role so far with a 3.00 ERA across his first six appearances of the season, and Friday's hold was his first of the year. The lefty has also earned a single win in relief to date.
-
Kyle Finnegan RP | DET
Tigers' Kyle Finnegan: Records second hold
Finnegan worked around a walk to toss a scoreless inning of relief and earn a hold in Friday's 2-0 win over the Marlins.
Finnegan worked the eighth inning in front of new Detroit closer Kenley Jansen, and the former continued his unblemished start to the season. Finnegan has strung together six straight scoreless appearances, though he has walked seven batters versus only three strikeouts across 5.1 innings. Finnegan may not record many saves with Jansen around, but he has two holds so far and should remain a consistent contributor in that category.

Kyle Manzardo 1B | CLE
Guardians' Kyle Manzardo: Swats first homer
Manzardo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 11-5 loss to Atlanta.
Manzardo popped his first home run of the season in the fourth inning. The Guardians expected to see Manzardo take a next step in 2026, but he's off to a slow start. He entered Friday batting .086 (3-for-35) with one RBI and a 34.1 strikeout percentage.
