  • Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Exiting starting nine

Kirk is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Rays.

It's a regular day off for Kirk, who is sporting just a .598 OPS with one home run in 25 games since coming off the injured list. Brandon Valenzuela will grab a start at catcher in Kirk's stead.

  • Kahlil Watson RF | CLE

Guardians' Kahlil Watson: Sitting again Tuesday

Watson is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Following a run of 10 starts in 11 games, Watson finds himself on the bench Tuesday for a second consecutive contest. The 23-year-old has a .584 OPS in his first 26 big-league games, though he is currently in the midst of a modest five-game hit streak, during which he's gone 6-for-18 with two doubles, two steals, two RBI and a run scored. Petey Halpin is instead starting in center field Tuesday for Cleveland.

  • Daniel Duarte RP | NYM

Mets' Daniel Duarte: Up with big club

The Mets recalled Duarte from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

Duarte logged five scoreless innings covering three relief outings earlier this season for the Mets. He's been less effective at Syracuse with a 4.75 ERA and 30:17 K:BB over 30.1 frames, but the 29-year-old will provide the Mets with a rested bullpen arm.

  • Xzavion Curry RP | NYM

Mets' Xzavion Curry: Optioned to Triple-A

The Mets optioned Curry to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

After going two innings Saturday, Curry tossed 47 pitches over 2.2 frames in Monday's loss to the Brewers. He'll be replaced on the roster by Daniel Duarte, who gives the Mets a fresh bullpen arm.

  • Robert Stock SP | NYM

Mets' Robert Stock: Debuts for Triple-A club

Stock (shoulder) struck out three and allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks across four innings Saturday in his 2026 debut for Triple-A Syracuse after being reinstated from the 60-day injured list.

While pitching for Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic back in March, Stock experienced shoulder discomfort and was later diagnosed with symptoms consistent with thoracic outlet syndrome. The 36-year-old later underwent surgery to address the condition, and he made rapid progress from a procedure that often entails a 3-to-6-month recovery. He kicked off a rehab assignment June 19 and received the green light to join the Syracuse rotation coming out of the All-Star break after he logged a 2.38 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 17:1 K:BB in 11.1 innings over his five outings with High-A Brooklyn.

  • Mike Tauchman CF | NYM

Mets' Mike Tauchman: Cleared for action at Double-A

Triple-A Syracuse reinstated Tauchman (knee) from its 60-day injured list Tuesday and assigned him to Double-A Binghamton.

Tauchman joined the Mets for spring training as a non-roster invitee and appeared to have a decent shot at winning a reserve outfield job on the Opening Day squad before his roster bid ended when he suffered a torn meniscus March 21. Now just under four months removed from surgery, Tauchman has been cleared to join one of the Mets' upper-level affiliates after he went 4-for-22 with a 7:4 BB:K across eight rehab games between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A St. Lucie. He should eventually move up to Syracuse, but Tauchman could face an uphill battle to earn a call-up to the big club unless the Mets' outfield depth is tested by injuries.

  • Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Activated from injured list

Atlanta activated Yastrzemski (elbow) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Yastrzemski required just a minimum 10-day absence as he dealt with left elbow inflammation. He skipped a rehab assignment and will receive regular reps in the outfield for Atlanta against right-handed pitching.

  • Joel Kuhnel RP | MIL

Brewers' Joel Kuhnel: Throwing bullpen session

Kuhnel (shoulder) is slated to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Kuhnel has missed the past two-plus weeks with right rotator cuff tendinopathy but is ready to test out the injury with some mound work. Though he's eligible for activation now, Kuhnel could require a rehab assignment before return to the active roster.

  • Sal Frelick RF | MIL

Brewers' Sal Frelick: Undergoing imaging Tuesday

Frelick will undergo an arthrogram Tuesday to get a diagnosis on his injured right shoulder, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Frelick landed on the 10-day injured list this past weekend with what the Brewers described as a shoulder strain, but the club hopes the arthrogram will provide a more specific diagnosis. Once the results of the exam are in, more will be known about a timeline for Frelick to return to the active roster.

  • Bubba Chandler SP | PIT

Pirates' Bubba Chandler: Tuesday's game postponed

Chandler won't pitch as scheduled Tuesday against the Yankees since the game was postponed due to a forecast of inclement weather, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

The 23-year-old's first start coming out of the All-Star break will have to wait at least one more day, with Tuesday's game being made up via a doubleheader Wednesday. Chandler, who has a 4.77 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 85:55 K:BB over 94.1 innings this season, should start one of those contests in the twin bill.
