Daysbel Hernandez RP | ATL
Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Activated, optioned to Triple-A
Atlanta reinstated Hernandez (shoulder) from the injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.
A shoulder cyst sent Hernandez to the injured list at the start of the season, but he now appears to have moved past the issue. The 29-year-old owns a 3.11 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across 55 MLB innings over the last two years and could be welcomed back into Atlanta's bullpen if he pitches well at Gwinnett.

Danny Young RP | ATL
Braves' Danny Young: Shifted to 60-day IL
Atlanta transferred Young (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.
Young is on the mend from Tommy John surgery and isn't expected to return from the injured list until closer to the All-Star break, so his move to the 60-day IL doesn't affect his timeline. He'll give up his place on the 40-man roster to Luke Williams, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.

Michael Harris CF | ATL
Braves' Michael Harris: Away on paternity leave
Atlanta placed Harris on the paternity list Saturday.
Harris will be allowed to miss up to three games while he spends time with his expanding family. Eli White will likely pick up a few starts in center field while Harris is gone, and Luke Williams will come up from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the open roster spot.

Luke Williams 2B | ATL
Braves' Luke Williams: Selected to MLB roster
Atlanta selected Williams' contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.
Williams will join the big club to replace Michael Harris, who was placed on the paternity list in a corresponding move. Williams posted just a .370 OPS over 34 plate appearances with Atlanta last season but is slashing .241/.313/.414 at Triple-A to begin the year.

Nick Gonzales 3B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Sitting down Saturday
Gonzales isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs.
An 0-for-3 performance in Friday's contest snapped Gonzales' three-game hitting streak, and he'll now get a day to rest while Brandon Lowe starts at second base and Nick Yorke covers third.

Tyler Gentry RF | KC
Tigers' Tyler Gentry: Gets minor-league deal with Detroit
The Tigers signed Gentry to a minor-league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Gentry appeared in 86 games for Triple-A Omaha in the Royals organization in 2025, posting a .206/.284/.371 slash line with nine home runs and four steals over 332 plate appearances. He appeared in three major-league games for the Royals in 2024, though he's unlikely to surface in Detroit this season unless the Tigers are in desperate need for outfield depth.

Richard Lovelady RP | WAS
Mets' Richard Lovelady: Dropped from 40-man
The Mets designated Lovelady for assignment Saturday.
Lovelady has given up three earned runs over 7.1 innings this year, but he'll end up as the roster casualty necessary to free up a spot for Craig Kimbrel, who was selected to the active roster Saturday. Lovelady owns a 5.25 ERA and 1.37 WHIP across his MLB career, but his relatively strong start could prompt another team to pick him up off waivers.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Mets' Jorge Polanco: In Saturday's lineup
Polanco (Achilles) will start at designated hitter and bat third against the Athletics on Saturday.
Polanco has been in and out of the Mets' lineup recently with Achilles problems and sat out the Mets' last two games following his Achilles bursitis diagnosis, but he's seemingly feeling well enough to return to the starting nine Saturday. The 32-year-old has slashed .200/.289/275 across his first 45 plate appearances with New York.

Justin Verlander SP | DET
Tigers' Justin Verlander: Slated for rehab assignment
Manager A.J. Hinch said Saturday that Verlander (hip) will make a rehab start before returning from the injured list, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Verlander will be eligible to return from the injured list Thursday, but the Tigers won't activate him right away and instead give him a tune-up outing before reintroducing him to the rotation. Once the veteran righty returns, Casey Mize or Keider Montero will likely be facing a demotion to the bullpen or Triple-A.

Vaughn Grissom 2B | LAA
Angels' Vaughn Grissom: Returns from IL
The Angels reinstated Grissom (wrist) from the 10-day injured list Saturday.
Grissom has been on the injured list for the first few weeks of the season due to a sprained left wrist, but he's been playing rehab games in Triple-A since March 31. The 25-year-old logged a base hit in each of his nine minor-league contests, finishing his assignment 12-for-35 (.343) with five RBI and a run scored. Now fully healthy, he'll make his season debut at second base and bat sixth against the Reds on Saturday, though Oswald Peraza and Adam Frazier remain in the mix for playing time at the keystone. Jeimer Candelario was DFA'd in a corresponding move.
