Kay did not factor into Friday's decision against the Blue Jays, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out five across four innings.

It wasn't the cleanest outing from Kay, who was pulled following the fourth inning after tossing 83 pitches (47 strikes), though he did induce 11 whiffs. It's the second time he's failed to go beyond four innings over his last three starts, and he has a 4.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 76:38 K:BB across 93.1 innings this season. Kay is lined up to start next week on the road against the Rangers.

Hart (0-2) blew the save and took the loss against the Royals on Friday, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits in one-third of an inning.

Hart came in for the 10th inning to protect San Diego's 6-3 lead before blowing his first save of the campaign. The 33-year-old allowed an RBI single to Michael Massey and an RBI groundout by Isaac Collins before Carter Jensen plated two runs to give the Royals the win. In 24 appearances this season, Hart has a 5.82 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 28:11 K:BB in 34 innings.

Valenzuela went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Friday's 12-4 loss to the White Sox.

Valenzuela cut the Blue Jays' deficit to 8-4 with a solo home run in the sixth, his eighth long ball of the season. George Springer started in left field Friday, so Valenzuela could see an uptick in plate appearances in the second half of the regular season if he sees more time as the designated hitter or as the catcher in games in which Alejandro Kirk serves as the DH.

The Rangers are expected to reinstate Junis (hip) from the injured list ahead of Saturday's game against Atlanta, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Junis hasn't pitched since June 29 because of a right hip impingement, but he was with the team during Friday's loss and is now set to rejoin the bullpen Saturday without first heading out on a rehab assignment. The 33-year-old has been one of the most reliable members of Texas' pitching staff this season, posting a 2.80 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 35.1 innings. He figures to resume working as a setup man for closer Jacob Latz.

Andujar went 3-for-4 with three doubles, one RBI and two runs scored in Friday's extra-inning loss to the Royals.

Andujar recorded his second three-double game in his past four contests. The 31-year-old was able to drive in Jake Cronenworth on an RBI double in the top of the 10th to give the Padres a short-lived lead. On the season, Andujar has slashed .268/.307/.437 with 20 doubles and five homers in 244 plate appearances.

Urias went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Friday's 12-4 loss to the White Sox.

The Blue Jays' offense couldn't match the White Sox in Friday's series opener, but Urias contributed offensively with a solo homer to left field in the fourth inning. It was the second long ball of the season for Urias, with his first taking place in his 2026 debut against the Astros on June 23. He'll continue to operate in a depth role in the infield, and his stint on the 26-man roster could be extended given that Lenyn Sosa (wrist) suffered a recent setback in his rehab program.

Springer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI during the Blue Jays' 12-4 loss to the White Sox on Friday.

Springer got the Blue Jays on the board in the third inning on a fielder's choice before taking Trevor Richards deep to left field in the fifth. It was the 10th home run of the season for Springer, who played defense for the first time this season with a start in left field. That could open more opportunities at DH for catchers Alejandro Kirk and Brandon Valenzuela, or even rookie Sean Keys, as Toronto searches for a spark on offense.

Miles (4-2) took the loss against the White Sox on Friday, allowing six runs on six hits while striking out four across four innings. He did not issue a walk.

Miles got into early trouble, yielding five runs in the second inning, capped off by a two-run homer by Sam Antonacci. Miles was tagged for one more run on a bases-clearing double in the fifth, and his five earned runs tied a season high he set against the Orioles on May 31. He figures to get at least one more turn in the rotation, with his next start tentatively slated for next week at home against the Rays. However, that could be Miles' last start if Max Scherzer (back) is cleared to be reinstated from the 15-day injured list.

Tatis went 3-for-5 with an RBI single in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Royals in 10 innings.

Tatis had been hitless in his previous two games before recording a trio of hits against Kansas City on Friday. The 27-year-old drove in Miguel Andujar with an RBI single in the top of the 10th to extend San Diego's lead to 5-3. On the campaign, Tatis is now slashing .281/.343/.377 with five homers, 36 RBI and 23 steals in 421 plate appearances.

Harris went 2-for-6 with two doubles and three RBI during Friday's 15-1 win over Texas.

This marks the second time this season that Harris has hit two doubles in a game. His second two-bagger Friday cleared the bases in the seventh inning to extend Atlanta's lead to 11-0. The 25-year-old outfielder continues to enjoy a productive season, slashing .297/.329/.491 with 16 home runs, 56 RBI and six steals across 359 plate appearances.
