Stewart (knee) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Buccaneers. The defensive end logged a full practice Wednesday, a limited session Thursday and entered the weekend with a doubtful designation. Stewart missed training camp and the preseason after hyperextending his knee in late July, though he returned to practice in early September. It appears that he needs a little more time before he plays in a regular-season game.

Stewart (knee) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports. Stewart practiced in full Wednesday, but it seems like he may have suffered a setback with his knee during the week. He'll probably end up carrying an injury designation into the weekend unless he can manage another full practice Friday.

Stewart (knee) was a full participant at practice Wednesday. Stewart hyperextended his knee late in July, but all signs are now pointing toward him suiting up in Week 1 versus the Buccaneers. He'll be looking to earn a larger share of snaps on the edge in his second season as a pro.

Stewart was carted off the field after sustaining a left leg injury in Wednesday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports. Stewart was injured on the first day of training camp and is now on crutches and has his leg in a brace as he awaits the results of further testing following the injury. Stewart was the Bengals' first-round pick, at No. 17 overall, last year and appeared in just eight regular-season games due to ankle and knee injuries. His knee appeared to buckle in practice Wednesday. Stewart is expected to help replace the snaps vacated by Trey Hendrickson in Cincinnati this season.

Stewart recorded 11 total tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defensed across eight regular-season games in 2025. Stewart, a 2025 first-round pick from Texas A&M, didn't participate in the Bengals' offseason program and failed to report to training camp on time due to a post-draft contract dispute. This may have contributed to his slow start in the NFL, as he recorded just six total tackles over his first five games. Stewart also struggled to stay healthy, missing nine contests due to a lingering knee injury. Despite the setbacks, the 22-year-old likely will operate as one of the Bengals' top edge rushers during the 2026 season.
