  • Edwards (ankle), who is still listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Titans, was activated off injured reserve Saturday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports. As a result, Edwards will likely miss the minimum four games after injuring his ankle back back in Week 4. It'll be interesting to see just how much work the 29-year-old sees with the emergence of rookie Kimani Vidal and the established bell-cow role of J.K. Dobbins, who has 70 carries over the last four weeks.

  • Edwards (ankle) practiced fully Friday and carries a 'questionable' game status for Sunday's contest against the Titans. The Chargers designated Edwards for return from injured reserve Wednesday, and the running back could resume action as soon as this weekend if the team elects to activate him by Saturday afternoon. If Edwards does rejoin the mix in Week 10, in his return he'd presumably work in a complementary role in a Los Angeles backfield that's led by J.K. Dobbins and also includes sixth-round rookie Kimani Vidal.

  • Edwards (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. Edwards took part in practice Wednesday after being designated for return from injured reserve earlier in the day. Though the Chargers will have a 21-day window to reinstate Edwards to the active roster, he could be activated from IR as soon as Sunday's game against the Titans, if the team is satisfied with how he looks during practice this week. Regardless of when Edwards returns to game action, J.K. Dobbins should continue to lead the Los Angeles backfield.

  • The Chargers designated Edwards (ankle) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports. Edwards hasn't played since prior to the Chargers' Week 5 bye, but he's eligible to return from IR and will resume practicing ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans. Even if he doesn't get activated ahead of the Week 10 contest, Edwards will presumably be added back to the active roster at some point prior to the expiration of the 21-day practice window. Once available, Edwards will step into a backup role behind J.K. Dobbins.

    By RotoWire

Edwards (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Edwards' workload had tailed off in Weeks 3 and 4, as he recorded nine carries for 28 yards in the two prior weeks before the bye. J.K. Dobbins has been a revelation as the team's preferred starting running back, but with Edwards out, it's possible rookie sixth-round pick Kimani Vidal will see his first significant action at the NFL level.
