Carr completed both of his attempts for 40 total yards and a touchdown during Thursday's 33-26 win over Arizona.

Carr enjoyed testing his chemistry with his new targets on Thursday. First, he took a quick drop and lofted a 27-yard dime to a leaping Tyrell Williams. He followed up two plays later with a quick strike to the flat to Ryan Grant, who raced into the end zone for a 13-yard score. Carr had an up-and-down first season in Jon Gruden's attack, setting career highs in completion percentage and yards while setting a career low in touchdown percentage. Carr looks like he could be taking a step up in 2019 and fans haven't even seen him throw it to his top new target, Antonio Brown, in a game situation yet.

Jackson completed 6 of 10 passes for 58 yards and rushed twice for 14 yards in Thursday night's 26-13 preseason win over the Packers.

Jackson also had an exciting touchdown scamper, but that run was unfortunately negated due to an offensive penalty. With a mix of flash and misfires, Jackson still led the Ravens to field goals on both his drives. He'll aim to use next week's game against the Eagles to get fully prepared for the regular season.

Darnold played the first three drives of Thursday's 22-10 win over the Falcons in Week 2 of the Jets' preseason slate, completing five of seven passes for 46 yards and adding a three-yard run on his only carry.

Darnold led the offense to a one-yard Ty Montgomery rushing touchdown on the opening drive, then failed to get much going in the rest of his action. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft looks comfortable running the offense and showed nice chemistry with wide receivers Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson in this one, so Darnold continues to give Jets fans reasons for optimism heading into his second NFL season.

Rodgers will be held out of Thursday's preseason game at Baltimore due to back tightness, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. The move is deemed "precautionary."

Prior to this contest, coach Matt LaFleur indicated that Rodgers and most of the starters were in line to play "a quarter or so," but a minor issue will keep the quarterback sidelined for a second straight exhibition. In Rodgers' stead, DeShone Kizer should get the start, with Tim Boyle and Manny Wilkins splitting the remaining QB reps.

Goff won't travel with the Rams to Honolulu for Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.

Goff, Todd Gurley and the majority of Rams starters will stay behind in Los Angeles, leaving the reserves to vie for potential roles on the 53-man roster. In Goff's place, backup Blake Bortles should get the starting nod, but it wouldn't surprise if Brandon Allen and John Wolford get most of the work under center. As for the rest of the exhibition slate, Goff isn't expected to make an appearance until the regular season.

Rudolph said he will start Saturday's preseason game against Kansas City, Ed Bouchette of The Athletic reports.

Joshua Dobbs started the preseason opener against Tampa Bay, completing five of eight passes for 85 yards and adding 44 yards on two carries, though he also took two sacks and had an interception wiped out by a penalty. Rudolph enjoyed a much cleaner performance, completing five of eight passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns, without any sacks or turnovers. The two quarterbacks will continue their battle for the No. 2 job.

Garoppolo was intercepted on five consecutive snaps Wednesday at practice, Grant Cohn of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports.

Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area notes that Garoppolo rebounded at the end of practice with some nice throws in the red zone and two-minute drill. Coach Kyle Shanahan didn't sound too worried about the ugly day for his starting quarterback, noting that Garoppolo will have plenty of time to work out of his slump before Week 1. This isn't the first report of the 27-year-old struggling at training camp, but all will be forgotten if he handles himself well in preseason appearances. It isn't yet clear if Garoppolo will get the start in Monday's exhibition against Denver.

Coach Matt LaFleur said Rodgers and the other starters will play "a quarter or so" in Thursday's preseason game at Baltimore, Jason Wilde of The Wisconsin State Journal reports.

The Packers used Geronimo Allison and Marquez Valdes-Scantling in their preseason opener, while Rodgers, Aaron Jones, Davante Adams and Jimmy Graham were held out. There's no guarantee they all play Thursday, but it at least seems Rodgers will be out there to start the game. He's surrounded by most of the same players from last season, with LaFleur and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett representing the major changes.

Keenum will start Thursday's preseason contest against the Bengals, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.

With Colt McCoy again ruled out for exhibition action due to lingering effects from his broken right fibula, Keenum is closing in on securing the starting quarterback gig for Week 1, according to Rick Snider of The Washington Post. Keenum didn't exactly light it up in the first exhibition last week, completing four of nine passes for 60 yards and one touchdown. Nonetheless, Keenum's veteran status appears to be more favorable in coach Jay Gruden's mind than trotting out 2019 first-round pick Dwayne Haskins to begin the season.

Coach Jay Gruden confirmed that McCoy (foot/leg) won't play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Bengals, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.

McCoy is still dealing with the residual effects of his fractured right fibula from the end of last season, which hasn't allowed him to practice much in training camp or suit up for the Redskins' first two exhibitions. If the starting quarterback race turns into Case Keenum versus Dwayne Haskins, the former likely has a leg up in light of his veteran status, at least to begin the campaign. The preceding is assuming McCoy remains in recovery mode, as he tops the team's most recent depth chart.
