He proceeded to nearly pull off a rather improbable comeback, leading the Bucs to 28 second-half points on four drives of 66 yards or more. Winston nearly committed a back-breaking mistake when he lost the handle on the ball on the way into the end zone late in the third quarter, but Evans alertly fell on it for a TD. Winston also connected with Evans for a 41-yard touchdown pass with 2:22 remaining that brought Tampa within three points, but he ended up throwing an interception on a desperation heave to DeSean Jackson with 23 seconds remaining to seal the win for the Giants. Given Koetter's lack of commitment to him beyond Sunday's game, the Bucs' starting QB situation is one for both Winston and Fitzpatrick owners to monitor throughout the coming week.

Jackson completed 13 of 19 passes for 150 yards and an interception during Sunday's 24-21 win over Cincinnati and added 117 yards on 27 carries.

Do the rushing yards make up for a conservative passing offense? If starter Joe Flacco (hip) doesn't return in Week 12, Jackson will enjoy a friendly matchup against an Oakland defense similar in scheme as Cincinnati, one that sports a bottom-five ranking in opponent passer rating allowed and bottom 10 in YPC allowed (4.8).

Mariota was forced out of Sunday's game against the Colts with an elbow injury, John Glennon of The Athletic reports.

After exiting Sunday's game in the second quarter, Mariota -- who dealt with an elbow issue earlier this season -- was back on the Titans' sideline to start the second half. However, Blaine Gabbert remained in the contest for the team's first third-quarter series on offense.

Mariota was spotted shaking his right arm/shoulder following the play that preceded his exit. He was replaced in Sunday's contest by Blaine Gabbert.

Peterman recently held a workout with the Lions, a source told Field Yates of ESPN.

It was Peterman's first audition with another team since the Bills cut him loose Monday following a disastrous season-and-a-half-long run with the organization. Though Peterman possesses an ideal frame (6-foot-2, 225 pounds) for a quarterback and is just 24 years old, the tape he's put out thus far in his brief career suggests he's not a capable NFL backup or a developmental prospect worth keeping on a 53-man roster. If he finds a new home somewhere this season, it will most likely be as a member of the practice squad.

As for Flacco's outlook beyond Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the veteran signal-caller won't require surgery to address the injury, which likely takes a long-term absence off the table put still puts his status in jeopardy for the Ravens' next game Nov. 25 against the Raiders.

Walker signed with Indianapolis' practice squad Friday.

Walker was previously released from the Colts' practice squad Oct. 23. The 23-year-old also participated in Indianapolis' offseason program and training camp this summer, before being waived prior to final cuts. With Jacoby Brissett is locked in as Andrew Luck's backup, Walker is unlikely to find a role as anything more than an emergency option this season.
