Geno Smith QB | NYJ
Seahawks' Geno Smith: Throws two scores in win
Smith completed 16 of 28 pass attempts for 189 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 28 yards on three attempts in Sunday's 21-20 win over the Cardinals.
Smith led a clutch game-winning drive within the two-minute warning to lead his team to victory and a 9-8 record in 2023. Last year's Comeback Player of the Year saw his numbers take a step back this season, completing 65 percent of his passes for 3,435 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 15 games. The only area the 32-year-old improved in was ball protection by committing three fewer turnovers compared to 2022. Despite Smith's slight regression, he figures to be under center for Seattle next season after signing a three-year contract extension this past offseason.

Kyler Murray QB | MIN
Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Solid finish to rehab season
Murray completed 22 of 30 pass attempts for 262 yards and a touchdown while adding 33 rushing yards on five attempts in Sunday's 21-20 loss to the Seahawks.
Murray finished the 2023 season on a high note with a pair of outings reminiscent of his pre-injury days under center in Arizona. The 27-year-old didn't look like the dual-threat fantasy stud he once was upon returning from ACL surgery in Week 10. If Murray can produce numbers close to his last three games this season (241.3 passing yards and 29.7 rushing yards per game along with a 6:1 TD:INT) in 2024, then we could see a bounce-back season in store for the two-sport athlete.

Blaine Gabbert QB | KC
Chiefs' Blaine Gabbert: Uninspiring in spot start
Gabbert completed 15 of 30 passes for 154 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 13-12 win over the Chargers. He added five rushes for 46 yards.
The Chiefs locked in the No. 3 seed in the AFC in Week 17, so they opted to sit a number of their starters in Sunday's win. Patrick Mahomes (coach's decision) was among the inactives, which allowed Gabbert to appear in his second game of the season. He posted an uninspiring stat line but did manage to lead the team on a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter, based primarily on a few scrambles that picked up a combined 39 yards. He'll find himself back on the bench throughout the Chiefs' postseason run.

Bryce Young QB | CAR
Panthers' Bryce Young: Forgettable end to season Sunday
Young completed 11 of 18 passes for 94 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed twice for 24 yards in the Panthers' 9-0 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Young also took three sacks and finished with a quarterback rating of 39.1, a microcosm of his utterly forgettable rookie season. The first overall pick once again had trouble pushing the ball down the field, as he averaged only 5.2 yards per attempt, and his yardage total was a season low. Young finished with under 200 passing yards in all but five of his 16 games while throwing just 11 touchdowns and tossing 10 interceptions. There's hope a new coaching staff and offense -- not to mention better pass-catching weapons -- can turn Young around in his second NFL season, but the rookie heads into his first NFL offseason with plenty of questions surrounding him.

Easton Stick QB | IND
Chargers' Easton Stick: Underwhelming in season finale
Stick completed 28 of 47 passes for 258 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Chiefs. He rushed the ball 13 times for 77 yards and also lost a fumble.
Stick drew his fourth consecutive start with Justin Herbert (finger) sidelined. Despite taking to the air 47 times, he put up a relatively modest yardage total while averaging just 5.5 yards per attempt. He did show plenty of playmaking ability as a rusher, but the end result was still an uninspiring effort for the Chargers' offense as they mustered only four field goals. In five games this season, Stick accounted for only four touchdowns while turning the ball over five times. He's set to hit free agency and will hope to remain the backup in Los Angeles or land a second-string job elsewhere around the league.

Zach Wilson QB | NO
Jets' Zach Wilson: Offseason trade expected
The Jets will try to trade Wilson (concussion) in the offseason, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
This news comes as no surprise, though Rapoport's reporting adds more legitimacy to previous rumblings that Wilson's tenure with the Jets has come to a close. Wilson will first have to recover from the concussion that kept him out of New York's final three games before he can be moved. If the Jets fail to find a trade partner for the former second overall pick, they could release Wilson to clear space on the roster for a veteran backup to 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers, who is working his way back from a torn Achilles.
-
Sam Howell QB | DAL
Commanders' Sam Howell: Picked off twice in finale
Howell completed 19 of 27 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Cowboys.
It was a fittingly rough end to a poor season for Washington, and Howell wraps up his first -- and possibly last -- season as the team's starting quarterback with a 21:21 TD:INT over 17 games, with the interceptions being the most in the NFL. The 2022 fifth-round selection is expected to get serious competition for the starting job in the offseason, likely from whoever the Commanders select with the second overall pick in the 2024 Draft, and Howell is likely to head into Week 1 of next year in the No. 2 spot on the depth chart.
-
Bailey Zappe QB | NYJ
Patriots' Bailey Zappe: Terrible numbers in Week 18 loss
Zappe completed 12 of 30 passes for 88 yards with two interceptions while adding three rushing attempts for 13 yards in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Jets.
Zappe actually had more passing yards than Trevor Siemian (70) in this snowy defensive battle, but Siemian didn't turn the ball over as the Jets snapped their 15-game losing streak against New England. Zappe posted a 6:9 TD:INT in 10 appearances on the season, including a 6:7 TD:INT in six starts after replacing Mac Jones atop the depth chart. New England will have the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and could opt for a quarterback with that selection.
-
Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Tosses four TDs in Week 18 win
Prescott completed 31 of 36 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 28-10 rout of the Commanders.
The Cowboys finally put together a strong performance on the road, and Prescott led the way with four red-zone TD strikes, two to CeeDee Lamb and one each to Jalen Tolbert and Brandin Cooks. In the process, Prescott became the first Dallas quarterback to ever lead the NFL in touchdown passes, tossing 36 in 17 games. The Cowboys locked up the NFC East title and the No. 2 seed in the NFC with the victory, setting Prescott up to face a ragged Packers secondary on his home turf in the wild-card round next weekend.

Taysom Hill QB | NO
Saints' Taysom Hill: Fills stat sheet Week 18
Hill logged six rushes for 51 yards and caught all four of his targets for 28 yards during Sunday's 48-17 win over the Falcons.
Hill returned to form in the Saints' regular-season finale. The 33-year-old was inactive Week 14 with foot and hand injuries, and he totaled just eight touches across the previous three games. However, nothing slowed Hill down Week 18, as he logged his second-most total yards of any game this season. He didn't register any passing attempts Sunday, though this may have been due to a big night for starting quarterback Derek Carr, who completed 22 of 28 passing attempts for 264 yards and four touchdowns. Since the Saints were eliminated from playoff contention Week 18, Hill finishes the 2023 campaign with 81 carries for 401 rushing yards and four rushing scores. He also tallied career highs as a receiver with 33 catches (on 40 targets) for 291 yards and two touchdowns.
