Vannett restructured his contract with the Saints on Wednesday, dropping his base salary from $2.6 million to $1.035 million, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

The move free's up $1.55 million in cap space for New Orleans, while Vannett sticks around as a third tight end option in 2022. The 29-year-old has proven himself to be an effective run blocker while he also caught nine passes for 133 yards and a touchdown over seven games with the Saints last season.

General manager Chris Grier said Wednesday that the Dolphins received two inquiries from other teams about trading for Gesicki this week, but Grier said that the tight end isn't being shopped, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Gesicki was the subject of trade rumors during the preseason, in part due to conjecture that his limitations as a blocker aren't ideal for new head coach Mike McDaniel's scheme. However, the Dolphins seem intent on keeping the franchise-tagged tight end in house for the 2022 campaign, which sets him up to operate as the No. 3 receiving option for Tua Tagovailoa behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle (lower body). However, Gesicki could lose snaps to No. 2 tight end Durham Smythe, a more capable blocker, on early downs.

Atlanta released Pruitt on Tuesday, Jeff Schultz of The Athletic reports.

Pruitt won't make the Falcons' initial 53-man roster, but the team could keep him in mind as things continue to develop. He appeared in 16 games with the Titans last season and recorded 14 receptions for 145 yards and three touchdowns on 18 targets.

Arizona waived Seikovits on Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Seikovits didn't appear in a game last season despite spending the entire year with the Cardinals. A part of the NFL's International Player Pathway Program, Seikovits will work to translate his Austrian football skills into another NFL opportunity.

Hollister (undisclosed) was placed on the Raiders' injured reserve Tuesday.

Hollister landed on IR after he apparently suffered an unspecified injury at some point this preseason. The 28-year-old tight end, who caught nine passes for 55 yards and one score over seven contests with Jacksonville last season, will now likely miss the entirety of the 2022 campaign while on Las Vegas' injured reserve, barring any injury settlement.

The 49ers released Kroft on Tuesday but plan to re-sign him Wednesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Kroft joined the 49ers on a one-year deal in May and totaled three receptions for 42 yards during the preseason. While he was let go Tuesday, he should rejoin San Francisco on Wednesday after the team places some players on injured reserve.

The 49ers cut Fumagalli on Tuesday.

Fumagalli joined San Francisco on a one-year deal in mid-May after missing the 2021 season due to an undisclosed injury. He logged four catches for 36 yards during the preseason but was unable to land a spot on the 49ers' final roster.

The Eagles waived Togiai on Tuesday, Chris McPherson of the Eagles' official site reports.

Togiai spent most of the 2021 campaign on the Eagles' practice squad and remained with the team on a reserve/future contract in January. However, he was unable to land a spot on the 53-man roster after logging seven catches for 46 yards over three preseason appearances.

Schreck was released by the Texans on Tuesday.

Schreck signed with Houston in June after spending the majority of last year on Cincinnati's practice squad. The 28-year-old ultimately played five special-teams snaps during his lone gameday elevation in 2021, and he will now likely attract interest from teams in need of similar reserve depth this regular season.

The Titans waived Hudson (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday.

Hudson dealt with a leg injury earlier in the offseason but was removed from the active/PUP list in early August. It's not yet clear what injury he's currently dealing with, but he'll revert to injured reserve if he goes unclaimed on waivers. If that's the case, he'll be forced to miss the 2022 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Tennessee.
