Connor Hamlett TE | DAL
Browns' Connor Hamlett: Poised for bigger role
Coach Hue Jackson said that Hamlett is primed to carve out a role in his first game on the active roster, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Hamlett was one of team's final cuts prior to trimming the roster to 53-men. While it's difficult to interpret whether Hamlett's role will come on offense or special teams, he could be worth keeping an eye on as the season progresses.

Larry Donnell TE | BAL
Giants' Larry Donnell: Doesn't practice Thursday
Donnell (concussion) didn't practice Thursday.
After a big hit from Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr on Monday, Donnell entered the league's protocol for head injuries, where he'll remain until he receives clearance from an independent neurologist. If he's sidelined Sunday at Green Bay, Will Tye will scoop up any and all available TE reps.
-
Braedon Bowman TE | NO
Jets' Braedon Bowman: Not practicing Wednesday
Bowman (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
With only one target on Sunday, it's unclear exactly when Bowman suffered the injury, but the lack of practice likely means it is something that needs monitoring. Regardless, with the Jets rarely using their tight ends in the passing game and Bowman being buried on the depth chart, his absence will have little impact on the team's offense.
-
Jace Amaro TE | TEN
Titans' Jace Amaro: Limited at practice Wednesday
Amaro (shoulder) was limited at practice Wednesday.
With Delanie Walker back in action this past Sunday, Amaro saw just one snap on offense in Week 4 against the Texans. Amaro is thus not worthy of lineup consideration as long as Walker is able to play.
-
Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Full practice Wednesday
Ertz (rib) was a full practice participant Wednesday.
With an uninhibited practice under his belt, Ertz has officially recovered from the rib displacement in his collarbone that forced back-to-back absences. Fortunately for the Eagles and Ertz, their Week 4 bye will contain him to two DNPs, and he'll resume his role as one of Carson Wentz's top targets with Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, and Darren Sproles.

Larry Donnell TE | BAL
Giants' Larry Donnell: Enters concussion protocol
Donnell has entered the concussion protocol, Tom Rock of Newsday reports.
Donnell sustained the injury Monday on a blocking assignment, taking a blow from Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr in the process. While Donnell navigates the NFL's protocol for head injuries, fellow tight end Will Tye will likely scoop up most of the snaps as long as Donnell tends to the malady.

MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT
Vikings' MyCole Pruitt: Gets first reception of season
Pruitt had one reception for seven yards in Monday's win over the Giants.
It was his first game after missing three weeks with a knee injury. Pruitt will have a minimal role in the offense, but could become a factor if Kyle Rudolph were to get hurt.

Gerald Christian TE | ARI
Bills' Gerald Christian: Signed to active roster
Christian was promoted Tuesday from the Bills' practice squad to the active roster, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.
A 2015 seventh-round selection, Christian will take the place of Jim Dray, who was released in the corresponding transaction. Christian will merely provide depth, likely serving as the No. 3 tight end behind locked-in starter Charles Clay and top backup Nick O'Leary.
