A return to practice would put Andrews right on track for the season opener Sunday against Houston, while another absence Wednesday would warrant skepticism about Harbaugh's persistent optimism. The coach has repeatedly downplayed the injury and said he expects Andrews back in practice this week, though the tight end has been sidelined for nearly two weeks after another missed practice Monday. All eyes will be on Andrews' status Wednesday when the Ravens release their first official injury report of the 2023 season.

Kittle (undisclosed) is working off to the side during Monday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Kittle had an adductor strain in mid-August and was determined to need more rest after making a brief appearance in the 49ers' final preseason game. Coach Kyle Shanahan said last week that he expected the tight end to resume practicing this week, with a return to individual work Monday marking a step in the right direction. The team won't post an official injury report until Wednesday, four days before the 49ers start their season in Pittsburgh against a star-studded Steelers defense.

Daniels signed with the Lions' practice squad Friday.

The veteran tight end was released by Detroit on Tuesday but has since agreed to join the team's practice squad. Daniels has played six years in the NFL, with his most recent game action coming in 2021. He's recorded 133 receiving yards on 13 catches with one touchdown throughout his career.

Prince joined Kansas City's practice squad Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Prince spent last year with Jacksonville's practice squad before getting waived by the team Tuesday. The 26-year-old went undrafted out of UAB in 2022, making second-team All-Conference USA in his final year of college.

Bowers signed with the Dolphins' practice squad Thursday.

Bowers was waived by the Bengals on Tuesday, but it didn't take long for him to find another opportunity elsewhere. The tight end last appeared in an NFL game in 2021, failing to record a reception over five contests with the Raiders.

Krull signed with Denver's practice squad Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Krull will head to Denver after getting waived as part of New Orleans' final roster cuts. The 2022 undrafted free agent appeared in just one game during his rookie season and did not receive a target.

Pederson was signed to Jacksonville's practice squad Thursday, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Pederson will remain with the Jaguars' organization after the team waived him Tuesday. The tight end is entering his third season as a pro and will likely spend the majority, if not all, of the 2023 campaign on the practice squad.

Odukoya signed with Tennessee's practice squad Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Odukoya spent the entirety of the 2022 campaign on the Titans' practice squad, and that's where he'll return for the start of the 2023 season. The tight end has yet to make his NFL debut after signing with Tennessee last offseason as a part of the league's International Pathway Program.

The Cardinals signed Whiteheart to the practice squad Friday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Whiteheart will now stay in Arizona after having been waived Wednesday. The 23-year-old signed as an undrafted free agent out of Wake Forest back in April but became expendable after the team claimed Elijah Higgins off waivers.
