  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Rams' Van Jefferson: Return questionable due to knee

Jefferson (knee) left Sunday's game against San Francisco.

Jefferson was tending to a knee injury heading into the game, and it appears to have flared up, leaving the wide receiver questionable to return to the NFC Championship Game. Ben Skowronek will see playing time in three-receiver sets for the duration of Jefferson's absence.

  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

    Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Grabs touchdown

Chase recorded six receptions on nine targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game.

Chase was blanketed throughout the day and was unable to find much room for big gains. However, he still managed a 22-yard reception to help set up a field goal early in the third quarter. He followed that up with a two-yard touchdown reception one possession later, winning a jump ball in the back corner of the end zone. Chase is sure to be the focal point of either the Rams or 49ers defense in the Super Bowl, but he has either 100 receiving yards or a touchdown in all three of Cincinnati's postseason wins.

  • Tee Higgins WR | CIN

Bengals' Tee Higgins: Big effort in AFC Championship Game

Higgins recorded six receptions on 10 targets for 103 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime victory over the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.

Higgins led the team in targets and yards. Though he didn't find the end zone, he contributed several big plays, highlighted by a 44-yard reception early in the third quarter. Higgins also was instrumental in Cincinnati's touchdown just before halftime, when he recorded an eight-yard reception to convert a third down and another 18-yard catch one play later. After managing only one reception for 10 yards in the team's wild-card round win over Las Vegas, Higgins has posted a combined 199 receiving yards in two subsequent playoff games.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Chiefs' Tyreek Hill: Opens scoring in AFCCG loss

Hill caught seven of 10 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 overtime AFC Championship Game loss to the Bengals.

Hill was instrumental in Kansas City's hot start, as he scored the game's first points with a 10-yard touchdown, and the Chiefs went on to take a 21-3 lead. The speedy wideout came close to scoring a second touchdown on one of the game's pivotal plays, but he was stopped at Cincinnati's one-yard line as the first half expired. Shockingly, that ended up being Hill's final touch of the afternoon, as he was blanked in the second half and overtime. Patrick Mahomes' final pass of the season was a deep ball to Hill down the sideline in overtime, which was batted away by one defender and intercepted by another. Despite this disappointing finish, Hill should resume his role as a key cog in one of the league's most fearsome offenses next year, and he'll be looking to extend a streak of five consecutive regular seasons with at least seven touchdowns.

  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Rams' Van Jefferson: Suiting up Sunday

Jefferson (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Jefferson tended to a knee injury in advance of this contest, being listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate before logging limited showings Thursday and Friday. At the same time, his recovery involved alternative treatments with an eye toward being available Sunday, per Josina Anderson of CBS Sports. After testing out the issue during a pregame warmup, Jefferson will be available to the Rams offense, but he'll be donning a sleeve on his left leg as he works as the team's third wide receiver behind Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham.

  • Stanley Morgan WR | TEN

    Bengals' Stanley Morgan: Inactive Sunday

Morgan (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs, Marisa Contipelli of the Bengals' official site reports.

Morgan didn't practice Friday and officially was listed as doubtful, so it's not surprising that he'll miss his third straight game. In his absence, Tre Flowers once again is expected to take over as a gunner on the Bengals' punt coverage unit.

  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Rams' Van Jefferson: Remains likely to play Sunday

Jefferson (knee), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers, is planning to play barring an unforeseen setback in his pregame workout, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.

According to Anderson, Jefferson has received "alternative treatments" for the knee injury he apparently picked up in the divisional-round win over the Buccaneers, as he was a non-participant Wednesday in the Rams' first practice this week. He then turned in limited showings in practices Thursday and Friday before taking the questionable designation into the weekend. Assuming Jefferson avoids the inactive list, he shouldn't be subject to a restricted snap count and likely will join Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham regularly in three-receiver sets.

  • Chiefs' Daurice Fountain: Jumps to active roster

The Chiefs elevated Fountain from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Bengals, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports

For a third consecutive playoff contest, Fountain finds himself on the Chiefs' active roster. In the first two outings versus the Steelers and Bengals, he combined for three snaps on offense and 28 more on special teams. However, Fountain's output was minimal, amounting to one tackle on kick coverage.

  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Rams' Van Jefferson: Trending up for Sunday

Jefferson (knee) is trending toward being active for Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus the 49ers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

After a week in which he didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough and managed limited practices Thursday and Friday due to a knee injury, Jefferson officially is questionable to play Sunday. But the Rams are expecting the second-year wide receiver to handle his typical role, which has amounted to at least 70 percent of offensive snaps in six of nine appearances with Odell Beckham in the fold. Still, Jefferson has tallied just a 23-395-3 line on 40 targets during that stretch.

  • River Cracraft WR | WAS

    River Cracraft: Waived by 49ers

Cracraft was waived by the 49ers on Saturday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Cracraft had appeared in each of the last eight games for San Francisco, but he played exclusively on special teams. He'll now be let go ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Rams.
