Pacheco has been out of action with an MCL sprain, and although he seems to have moved past the knee issue he is now dealing with another injury. Campbell noted that Pacheco was feeling better Wednesday, but further details were not provided, so it's unclear if the latest setback will affect his availability for Week 1.

Smith is signing a one-year contract with the Packers, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.

Smith has been without a team since being released by the Steelers in March, but he has found a new home in Green Bay. Tucker Kraft (knee) is the established top tight end for the Packers, but the team lacks depth behind him -- particularly with Luke Musgrave (neck) on the Active/PUP list -- and Smith immediately becomes the second most intriguing tight end on the roster for fantasy purposes.

Williams has agreed to a three-year, $90 million contract extension with the Seahawks, Ian Rapoport of ESPN and NFL Network reports.

Tillman (undisclosed) is in line to be cut by the Browns, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Tillman was a key depth piece for the Browns in recent years, but with the team drafting KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston in the first two rounds of this year's NFL Draft and both players asserting themselves during training camp, Cleveland made the decision to move on. Tillman -- a 2023 third-round pick -- is 26 years old and appeared in 38 NFL games, so he should draw interest from teams looking for a boost in the wide receiver room.

Pierce (ankle) is slated to be activated from the active/PUP list Thursday, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.

Pierce has been sidelined since undergoing ankle surgery in March, and after encountering some hiccups that prevented him from participating in training camp he is now ready to get back on the field. It was reported earlier in August that Pierce was expected to be available in Week 1, and although that is not a lock, the wideout's looming practice participation has him trending toward that outcome, with over two weeks to prepare for his club's season-opening matchup with the Ravens.

Metcalf (undisclosed) has agreed to a restructured contract with the Steelers, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Metcalf signed a four-year, $132 million contract with the Steelers in March of 2025, and the revamp of the deal coverts a portion of his base salary into a signing bonus while opening up "nearly $18 million" in 2026 cap space for Pittsburgh. Metcalf has been slowed by an unspecified injury during training camp, but he practiced Monday and will be aiming to bounce back after finishing with a career-low 850 receiving yards over 15 regular-season games in 2025.

Spencer (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve with the Commanders on Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Spencer was waived with an injury designation Tuesday, and he ultimately went unclaimed on waivers. He will now be forced to miss the entire 2026 season while on IR, unless he's able to reach an injury settlement with Washington.

Kraft (knee) is expected to be "full go" for the Packers' Week 1 regular-season opener against the Vikings, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Kraft got his first taste of full contact in joint practice with the Cardinals on Wednesday, and he deemed himself ready to go for the start of the 2026 season. The tight end isn't going to play in Friday's preseason finale, so all sights are set on Week 1. Kraft will be 10 months removed from his torn ACL next week after he sustained the injury in Week 9 against the Panthers last season.

McGlothern suffered an undisclosed injury at some point this preseason, and he has cleared waivers after being waived/injured Tuesday. The cornerback is now set to miss the entirety of the 2026 campaign while on IR, unless he can reach an injury settlement with the Vikings.
