Schenn scored the game-winning goal, added five shots on net, levied two hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Bruins. Schenn tallied 2:53 into the extra session to secure the win for the Blues. He scored in both of the team's games against Boston this season. The center has four points over his last three outings, and he's up to three goals, six helpers, 46 shots on net, 36 hits, 19 blocked shots, 13 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 18 appearances. He continues to fill a top-six role while Robert Thomas (ankle) is out.

Schenn recorded two assists in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Sabres on Thursday. Schenn registered the primary assist on each of Brandon Saad's even-strength tallies. Schenn added four shots, one block, four hits and a plus-2 rating in 18:20 of ice time to round out a solid performance. The left-shot center has picked up points in back-to-back contests, and Thursday marked his first multi-point outing of the season. Schenn has accounted for two goals, six assists, 13 PIM, 17 blocks, 34 hits, two takeaways and a minus-5 rating across 17 games.

Schenn scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Bruins. The 33-year-old center opened the scoring midway through the second period, snapping a 13-game goal drought by tapping home a rebound with the man advantage. It was just Schenn's second goal of the season and first power-play point, and through 16 contests he's managed only six points despite a consistent shift in the top six and on the first power-play unit.

Schenn had an assist, one shot on net and two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Montreal. Schenn's drive to the net in the second period was rebuffed by Sam Montembeault, but the ensuing sequence let to Jake Neighbours' game-tying tally. The assist was Schenn's second in as many games and third over the last four. He had practiced on the top line earlier this week, presumably as a potential replacement for Robert Thomas (lower body), but he's been back home centering the second line in the two games since. Schenn did a reasonable impression of Thomas, the Blues' faceoff leader (62.6 percent), by winning 15 of 22 (68.2 percent) draws Saturday.

Schenn centered the top line at Wednesday's practice, Jeremey Rutherford of The Athletic reports. Schenn bounced between the second and third lines through seven contests but now looks like the replacement for Robert Thomas, who is expected to miss at least six weeks with a fractured ankle. The club likely hopes Schenn, who has one goal on 21 shots (4.8 shooting percentage) and one assist, can spark a team that is starving for offense thus far, ranking 22nd with 2.71 goals per game.
