  Pitlick hit the waiver wire Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Pitlick was a healthy scratch versus the Flames on Monday and now finds himself heading down to the minors, assuming he clears. In his last 23 contests, the winger has notched just one point to go with 24 shots, 49 hits and eight blocks. The Rangers could bring Pitlick back up before Thursday's matchup with the Habs or consider recalling another option from AHL Hartford.

  Pitlick (lower body) will be back in the lineup Saturday against the Kings, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports. Pitlick, who will return from an eight-game absence, will replace Nick Bonino in the lineup Saturday. The 32-year-old Pitlick has one goal, two assists, 28 shots on net and 52 hits in 28 appearances this campaign.

  Pitlick (lower body) isn't expected to play Thursday against Vegas, per Colin Stephenson of Newsday. Pitlick hasn't been in the Rangers' lineup since Jan. 2. He has a goal, three points, 52 hits and 10 blocks in 28 outings in 2023-24. When Pitlick is ready to return, he'll likely serve on the fourth unit.

  Pitlick is out week-to-week with a lower-body injury, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports. Pitlick logged just 6:58 of ice time Tuesday versus the Hurricanes, which isn't all that unusual for a fourth-liner. The injury will likely cost him at least a handful of games. Brennan Othmann was called up from AHL Hartford and should get a look during Pitlick's absence.

Pitlick is on his eighth team between 10 years of NHL service time, actively representing the league-leading Blueshirts in a depth role while Filip Chytil takes time to recover from an upper-body injury. While Pitlick can help out in a pinch, his scant role averaging 10 minutes of ice time per contest makes him tough to rely on as anything but a flier in most formats.
