  • Rielly (illness) will play Thursday versus San Jose, according to Dave McCarthy of NHL.com. Rielly was questionable after missing Wednesday's practice, but he won't miss a game due to the illness. The 31-year-old is expected to serve on the top pairing alongside Oliver Ekman-Larsson versus the Sharks. Rielly should also feature on the top power-play unit.

  • Rielly (illness) won't participate in Wednesday's practice. Rielly has five goals and 22 points in 28 outings in 2025-26. It's unclear if he'll be an option to play against San Jose on Thursday. If Rielly is out, he would join fellow defensemen Brandon Carlo (lower body), Dakota Mermis (lower body) and Chris Tanev (upper body) on the shelf. The Maple Leafs recalled Henry Thrun from AHL Toronto on Wednesday after Mermis sustained an injury in Monday's 2-0 win over Tampa Bay.

  • Reilly scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 2-0 victory over the Lightning. Late in the first period, the veteran blueliner had his initial shot attempt from the slot interrupted by a back-checking Jake Guentzel, but Reilly stuck with the play, recovered the puck and slipped a backhand past Jonas Johansson as he fell to the ice. That proved to be all the offense Dennis Hildeby would need. Reilly hasn't gone two straight games without recording a point since the end of October, and over his last 18 games, he's piled up three goals and 16 points with 34 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating.

  • Rielly delivered two assists in a 7-2 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday. It was Rielly's first multi-point effort since Nov. 8, a span of 10 games. Still, the defender continues to put up somewhat gaudy numbers from the blue line. He has four goals, 16 assists and 46 shots on net in 24 games. That puts Rielly in a three-way tie with Lane Hutson and Oliver Ekman-Larsson for 10th in the NHL in points among defensemen.

  • Rielly notched a goal Friday in a 4-2 loss to Washington. Rielly opened the scoring early in the first frame when he took a pass from Oliver Ekman-Larsson and scored on a snap shot from the wide edge of the left circle. Rielly is on a 60-point pace for the first time since 2021-22. And that could shoot up if the Leafs can improve on their power play, which sits 26th overall. Rielly has 18 points, including 14 helpers, in 23 games this season, but just three assists have come with the man advantage.
