  Vatrano (face) is expected to be in the lineup versus the Islanders on Thursday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports. Vatrano took a puck to the face Tuesday versus the Penguins and didn't finish that contest. The 31-year-old is not expected to miss any additional time and will occupy a bottom-six role for the Ducks in Thursday's game.

  Vatrano took a puck to the face and didn't finish Tuesday's game versus the Penguins, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports. There was no update on Vatrano's status after the game.   Vatrano scored a goal and added two hits in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights. Vatrano scored for the second time in the last four games. Those are his only two goals of the season, though it's better production than the one assist he had in all of October. The 31-year-old is at three points, 26 shots on net, 35 hits, nine blocked shots and a minus-7 rating through 14 contests in a bottom-six role. Fantasy managers can look elsewhere until Vatrano is in a more prominent spot in the lineup.

It was also his first tally of the year, as the 31-year-old has had a tough time getting his offense going. That's resulted in him dropping to the fourth line lately, as Vatrano has seen fewer than 13 minutes of ice time in five straight games. The veteran forward is at two points, 23 shots on net, 31 hits, eight blocked shots and a minus-7 rating through 11 appearances. Vatrano's production typically benefits from all-around volume, and that will be hard to accumulate while his usage is limited.
