Lyon made 15 saves in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Flyers. Making his first start since Nov. 25 after recovering from a lower-body injury, Lyon looked rusty in the back-and-forth contest -- Travis Konecny opened the scoring just 66 seconds into the first period by slipping a backhand through the goalie's five hole. Lyon got plenty of offensive support though, and he actually has a three-start win streak going dating back to before his IR stint. On the season, the 32-year-old is 5-4-0 in 10 outings with a 2.88 GAA and .903 save percentage, and he'll split work in the crease with Ville Husso until Cam Talbot (lower body) also gets healthy.

Lyon (lower body) is set to start at home against Philadelphia on Wednesday, according to Carley Johnston of the Red Wings' official site. Lyon was already expected to be available for the upcoming game against the Flyers, but now he's also been tapped to play between the pipes. The 32-year-old hasn't been in net since Nov. 25 due to the injury. He has a 4-4-0 record, 2.74 GAA and .911 save percentage in nine appearances in 2024-25. The Flyers rank 20th in goals per game with 2.90.

Lyon (lower body) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup in Wednesday's home game against Philadelphia, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Lyon will be an option following a nine-game absence, but Detroit hasn't decided who will start against the Flyers. Cam Talbot (lower body) remains unavailable, and Ville Husso is coming off a 23-save performance in Saturday's 4-2 win over Toronto. Lyon has a 4-4-0 record with one shutout, a 2.74 GAA and a .911 save percentage through nine appearances this season.

The Red Wings hope that Lyon (lower body) will be able to return for Wednesday's home game against the Flyers, Daniella Bruce of the Red Wings' official site reports. Lyon has been sidelined since late November due to a lower-body injury, but he appears to be trending toward a return. His return would come at a beneficial time, as Cam Talbot exited Friday's practice session due to a lower-body injury, and it's unclear how much time he'll miss. Ville Husso will start at home against the Maple Leafs on Saturday, while the Red Wings will need to call up another netminder to serve as Husso's backup.

Lyon (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup Friday versus New Jersey, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Cam Talbot will get the start with Ville Husso as his backup. Lyon was injured during the Red Wings' morning skate Wednesday. He is 4-4-0 with a 2.74 GAA and a .911 save percentage in nine appearances this season.
