Lyon made 22 saves in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Islanders. The Red Wings were unable to solve Ilya Sorokin until the final five minutes of the third period, but Lyon kept them in the game until then and got rewarded with the comeback win. It's the first win for the veteran netminder since Oct. 22 after a lower-body injury cost him time in early November, and on the season Lyon is 3-4-0 over eight appearances with a 2.84 GAA and .908 save percentage.

Lyon will be between the pipes for Thursday's home matchup with the Islanders, Daniella Bruce of the Red Wings' official site reports. Lyon has appeared in just three of the Red Wings' last 11 contests, losing all three games while giving up 15 goals on 95 combined shots (.842 save percentage). Despite his recent struggles, the team will go back to the 31-year-old for Thursday's matchup, which likely means fantasy players can expect to see Cam Talbot between the home pipes against the Bruins on Saturday.

Lyon (lower body) allowed five goals on 28 shots in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Ducks. The sixth goal was an empty-netter. Lyon gave up a goal in each of the first two periods and three more in the third as the Ducks pulled off a comeback. This was his first action since Oct. 30, as he had lost his share of the crease before missing a week with the injury. Lyon is now 2-4-0 with a 3.13 GAA and a .903 save percentage over seven appearances this season. Cam Talbot is likely to start in goal versus the Kings on Saturday.

Lyon (lower body) is expected to start on the road against Anaheim on Friday, according to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press. Lyon last played between the pipes Oct. 30, when he stopped 23 of 29 shots en route to a 6-2 loss to Winnipeg. Anaheim figures to be a far easier adversary -- the 5-8-2 Ducks rank 32nd offensively with just 2.20 goals per game. Lyon has a 2-3-0 record, 2.78 GAA and .916 save percentage over six appearances in 2024-25.

Lyon (lower body) is expected to be available to play for Friday's game versus the Ducks, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports. Lyon was expected to be available at some point during the Red Wings' road trip through California. With the team sending down Ville Husso following Wednesday's game versus the Penguins, it appears Lyon has been given the all clear. Detroit plays in Anaheim on Friday and in Los Angeles on Saturday, so expect Lyon to start one of those contests.
