Pettersson scored a goal on two shots and added a power-play assist in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Oilers. Pettersson had one of his better games of the year, but the rest of the Canucks didn't follow suit. The 25-year-old has three points over his last three contests, which perhaps signals him getting back to a high level of offense. He's struggled with three goals, four assists, 24 shots on net, 21 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 13 appearances this season.

Pettersson scored a goal on six shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Ducks. The Canucks' third goal belonged to Quinn Hughes for a while, but it was eventually changed to Pettersson. That ended a three-game point drought for Pettersson, who is still struggling to find consistency on offense. He's at a mere five points with 21 shots on net, 16 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through 11 appearances this season, though he remains in a top-six role.

Pettersson scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Penguins. Pettersson's goal was the first of three by the Canucks in a span of 1:05, turning a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead. The center has a goal and two assists during his three-game point streak, though he still isn't looking particularly explosive on offense. He's at four points, 11 shots on net, 12 hits, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through seven outings this season.

Pettersson picked up an assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over Philadephia. Pettersson is off to a disappointing start, contributing two assists and no goals through five appearances. It's convenient to hang his slow start on the hangover from his lucrative contract extension, but Pettersson hasn't scored an even-strength goal in 30 games, dating back to the 2024 playoffs. He has logged 450:29 of even-strength time on ice in that span, recording just 32 shots. The Canucks, and fantasy managers, need more from him.

Pettersson notched a power-play assist in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Flames. Pettersson helped out on the first of Brock Boeser's two goals in the game. Last season, Pettersson earned 31 of his 89 points on the power play, so it figures to remain a large part of his production in 2024-25. The Swedish center added 125 hits, 68 blocked shots and 207 shots on net in 2023-24, with the added physical play helping to offset some of his step back on offense from a 102-point campaign in 2022-23.
