Sturm scored a goal in Monday's 7-2 win over the Kings. Sturm missed five contests due to an upper-body injury and logged 10:54 of ice time in his return. His tally came 1:47 into the game to give the Sharks a quick 1-0 lead. The 29-year-old forward has played in a bottom-six role throughout the season, and given the relative weakness of San Jose's offense, that's not an enticing role for fantasy. Sturm has made the best of it with four goals, three assists, 16 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-2 rating over 19 appearances, but that's not production that will get him onto many virtual rosters.

Sturm (upper body) has been removed from injured reserve ahead of Monday's matchup with the Kings, per the NHL media site. Sturm looks set to take on a bottom-six role with his upper-body injury seemingly behind him. Prior to his five-game absence, the 29-year-old center recorded five points, 11 hits and nine blocked shots in his previous 10 outings. Given his limited offensive upside, Sturm is unlikely to offer much fantasy value moving forward.

Sturm (upper body) is considered a game-time decision for Monday's matchup against Los Angeles, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Sturm has spent the last week on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury, but he'll be in the mix to return to action against the Kings. However, the Sharks want to see how he feels in the hours leading up to puck drop, and if he isn't cleared to return Monday, his next chance to suit up will be Wednesday against Ottawa.

Sturm (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site. Sturm missed Saturday's 3-2 loss to Vancouver, and his placement on the IR list will keep him out for at least another three games. The 29-year-old forward has three goals, three assists, 15 shots on net, 10 blocked shots and 22 hits through 18 appearances this season. The Sharks brought up netminder Yaroslav Askarov from AHL San Jose in a corresponding move due to an injury to Vitek Vanecek (undisclosed).

Sturm (upper body) won't play Saturday against the Penguins, Max Miller of NHL.com reports. Sturm will miss his first game this season after suffering an injury in Thursday's loss to the Rangers with an injury. The 29-year-old center has three goals and six points through 18 games in 2024-25. Klim Kostin will enter the Sharks' lineup because of Sturm's absence.
