  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Surfaces on IR

Kozak (illness) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.

Buffalo recalled Isak Rosen from AHL Rochester in a corresponding move. Kozak will miss at least Tuesday's game against Columbus after landing on the IR list. He has one goal, six shots on net, 16 blocked shots and 11 hits in 11 NHL appearances this season.

  • Sharks' Ty Dellandrea: Game-time decision versus Habs

Dellandrea (upper body) will be a game-time call against Montreal on Tuesday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Dellandrea is currently mired in a 38-game goal drought, during which he has generated a meager 23 shots. While the forward has decent value in banger formats given his ability to dish out hits -- he's registered 99 of them in 41 outings -- his offensive upside is extremely limited.

  • Maple Leafs' Fraser Minten: Headed back to minors

Minten was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Monday.

Minten will trade places with Dakota Mermis, who was called up from the Marlies in a corresponding move. The decision to swap a forward for a defenseman is likely the result of Oliver Ekman-Larsson sustaining a lower-body injury in Saturday's matchup with Edmonton. Minten has played in 15 NHL games this year, recording two goals, two assists and 36 hits while averaging 12:14 of ice time.

  • Devils' Justin Dowling: Posts helper Sunday

Dowling registered an assist and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Sabres.

Dowling ended a three-game point drought with the helper. He has five points, 20 shots on net, 28 hits and a minus-1 rating over 36 appearances this season. Erik Haula (ankle) is nearing a return to the lineup, but Dowling seems likely to remain in a bottom-six role at least as long as Nico Hischier (upper body) is out.

  • Canucks' Linus Karlsson: Drops down to minors

Karlsson was demoted to AHL Abbotsford on Monday.

Karlsson has registered one goal, seven shots and five hits during his recent six-game stint in the NHL. It's possible the Canucks will bring the 25-year-old center back up to the main roster ahead of Tuesday's game against Colorado -- though Jonathan Lekkerimaki could also be an option.

  • Islanders' Mathew Barzal: Out indefinitely

Barzal (lower body) is out indefinitely, the Islanders announced Monday.

Barzal missed Sunday's 6-3 loss to Florida after being injured in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over Tampa Bay. He has generated six goals, 20 points, 78 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and 24 hits through 30 appearances this season. Anthony Duclair skated on the top line in Sunday's loss due to Barzal's absence.

  • Avalanche's Casey Mittelstadt: Nabs helper in Sunday's win

Mittelstadt distributed an even-strength assist and went plus-1 Sunday in a 2-0 win over Philadelphia.

Mittelstadt earned his third helper in his last five games when he set up Samuel Girard's game-opening goal in the middle stanza. Mittelstadt's second-line role hasn't translated to much production -- he scored only once over 15 outings in January, though he six assists in that span. The left-shot center has contributed nine goals and 32 points in 2024-25, but he has a minus-12 rating through 54 appearances. Mittelstadt's fantasy value could increase once Valeri Nichushkin (lower body), who was placed on injured reserve Monday, is ready to return to the lineup.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Hits 20-goal mark Sunday

MacKinnon netted a power-play marker on four shots in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Flyers.

MacKinnon has banked a goal and four helpers during his four-game point streak. This tally was his first in five contests. The all-world center has only been held off the scoresheet on one occasion over his last 10 outings, and he's making a strong case to win the Hart Trophy -- MacKinnon is leading the NHL with 80 points (24 on the power play). While the trade that sent Mikko Rantanen to Carolina came as a surprise, Martin Necas has fit in well on the top line alongside MacKinnon and Artturi Lehkonen.

  • Stars' Mavrik Bourque: Absent from practice

Bourque (face) didn't practice Monday after being injured in Sunday's 5-3 win over Columbus, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Bourque was struck in the face by a point shot from the Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski after the puck deflected off his stick. The 23-year-old Bourque was helped to the dressing room and didn't return. He has six goals, 14 points and 52 shots in 47 appearances this season. If Bourque can't play against Anaheim on Tuesday, Colin Blackwell could return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch in Sunday's win.

  • Collin Graf RW | SJ

Sharks' Collin Graf: Promoted from minors

Graf was called up from AHL San Jose on Monday.

Graf hasn't appeared in an NHL game for the Sharks since Jan. 21 versus the Predators but could be pressed into service versus the Canadiens on Tuesday given all the injuries among the Sharks' forwards. In his 10 games for the big club, the 22-year-old winger has yet to find the back of the net while generating two assists, four shots and 10 hits while averaging 14:17 of ice time.
