  • John Hayden C | SEA

Kraken's John Hayden: Pots first goal of season

Hayden scored a goal and added three hits in Monday's 6-4 win over the Sabres.

Hayden's goal was his first at the NHL level since the 2022-23 campaign. The 29-year-old has played five games with the Kraken this season, adding three shots on net, 17 hits and five blocked shots. He's filling in on the fourth line in the absences of Yanni Gourde (lower body) and Jordan Eberle (pelvis), though Hayden could always be swapped out for a different forward if his quality of play drops.

  • Kraken's Matty Beniers: Strikes on power play

Beniers scored a power-play goal on four shots in Monday's 6-4 win over the Sabres.

Beniers is in a groove again with three goals and an assist over his last five outings. He hasn't extended a point streak beyond four games this season, which makes it tough to trust him in fantasy, but playing alongside Jaden Schwartz and Kaapo Kakko has led to strong results over the last month. Beniers is up to 10 goals, 26 points (four on the power play), 85 shots on net, 42 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 48 appearances.

  • Ducks' Isac Lundestrom: Considered day-to-day

Lundestrom (lower body) is day-to-day and not expected to play against Florida on Tuesday.

Lundestrom will miss at least one game after being injured in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Panthers. He has registered four goals, seven points, 37 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and 29 hits through 44 appearances. If Trevor Zegras (knee) remains unavailable, Brett Leason could replace Lundestrom in Tuesday's lineup.

  • Kraken's Chandler Stephenson: One of each in win

Stephenson scored a goal and added a power-play assist in Monday's 6-4 win over the Sabres.

Stephenson remains hot on offense in January with five goals and five assists over 10 contests. The 30-year-old center is up to eight goals, 33 points (14 on the power play), 46 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating through 47 appearances. He's overcome a slow start to the campaign and could push for 55-60 points if he keeps up his recent play.

  • John Tavares C | TOR

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Not skating yet

Tavares has not resumed skating and does not have a timeline to return from his lower-body injury, Mark Masters of TSN reports Tuesday.

Tavares was placed on injured reserve Thursday after he was injured at practice Wednesday. The 34-year-old was initially deemed week-to-week, so he should not be expected to return any time soon. Pontus Holmberg is projected to center the second line Wednesday versus Columbus. Tavares has produced 20 goals and 42 points across 44 appearances this season.

  • Jared McCann C | SEA

Kraken's Jared McCann: Three-point effort in win

McCann scored an empty-net goal and added two assists in Monday's 6-4 win over the Sabres.

McCann was involved in the Kraken's last three goals in the high-scoring contest. The goal was his first over 10 outings in January, though he's added seven assists this month. McCann has 14 goals, 36 points, 110 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 48 appearances, putting him on pace to reach the 60-point mark for the third year in a row.

  • Wild's Frederick Gaudreau: Posts assist Monday

Gaudreau recorded an assist and went plus-3 in Monday's 3-1 win over the Avalanche.

Gaudreau helped out on a Jake Middleton tally in the first period. The Wild's third line contributed on all three goals, a rarity for a team that tends to lean heavily on its top players with few depth-scoring contributions. This helper ended a four-game slump for Gaudreau, who now has 18 points, 62 shots on net, 29 blocked shots, 25 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 47 appearances.

  • Sharks' Ty Dellandrea: Picks up helper in loss

Dellandrea logged an assist and six hits in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Bruins.

This was Dellandrea's sixth straight game in the lineup, and he was able to earn his first point since Nov. 30. The 24-year-old has mostly been limited to bottom-six usage this season, though he's averaged 12:38 of ice time during his current stint in the lineup compared to 11:56 per game overall. He has just five points with 96 hits, 29 blocked shots, 27 shots on net, 26 PIM and a minus-13 rating through 39 appearances.

  • Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Two helpers in Monday's win

Poitras logged two assists and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.

Poitras has three helpers over three games since he returned to the NHL roster following a two-month stint in the AHL. The 20-year-old center has filled a middle-six role lately. He's produced seven points, 14 shots on net and a minus-2 rating over 17 outings at the NHL level this season.

  • Bruins' Vinni Lettieri: Scores again Monday

Lettieri scored a goal on three shots and added eight hits in Monday's 6-3 win over the Sharks.

Lettieri has earned two goals, six shots on net and 10 hits over three NHL appearances this season. The 29-year-old continues to see middle-six minutes while the Bruins work through the absences of Cole Koepke (upper body), Trent Frederic (illness) and Mark Kastelic (undisclosed). Lettieri has a little upside as a depth scorer and physical player, but likely won't be on the radar in most fantasy formats.
