  • Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Twelve points in last 10 games

Rakell scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.

He tipped a shot from Erik Karlsson just under the crossbar at 1:44 of OT to seal the win. It was Rakell's team-leading 14th goal. He has 12 points, including seven goals, over his last 10 games. Rakell has shaken off last season's malaise, and he's helping make us all forget about that performance.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Goal streak at four games

Kadri scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Kadri has scored in four straight games and in seven of his last 11 contests, adding three assists in that span. The 34-year-old center gave the Flames a 2-0 lead early in the second period after he converted on a feed from Jonathan Huberdeau. Kadri leads the Flames with 12 goals and has added nine helpers, 103 shots on net, 24 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-16 rating through 32 appearances.

  • Bruins' Marc McLaughlin: Scores again Tuesday

McLaughlin scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames.

McLaughlin has scored in each of the last two games, accounting for all of his offense at the NHL level this season. The 25-year-old forward has added 13 shots on net, 16 hits and an even plus-minus rating through eight appearances. While he's starting to find a little success on offense, it'll be tough to sustain as long as he's playing on the fourth line.

  • Dylan Cozens C | OTT

Sabres' Dylan Cozens: Lone marker in loss

Cozens scored a goal on three shots, blocked one shot, delivered four hits and was whistled for two PIM in Tuesday's 6-1 loss the Montreal.

Cozens provided the lone highlight of the night for Buffalo with a second-period snipe as a trailer from the high slot that beat Montreal goalie Sam Montembeault glove-side. The goal was Cozens' seventh of the season and first in six outings.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Pots goal in overtime win

Geekie scored a goal on six shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames.

Geekie has three points over his last two games and a total of four goals and three helpers over eight outings in December. The 26-year-old seems to be taking to a top-six role now after some uneven results with similar usage in November. He's up to six goals, 12 points, 57 shots on net, 41 hits and a minus-7 rating over 28 appearances.

  • Bruins' Elias Lindholm: Two points versus former team

Lindholm scored a goal on seven shots and added an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames.

Playing against his two most recent former teams over the last two games, Lindholm has picked up three points. That matches his total from his previous 10 outings. Lindholm also scored for the first time since Nov. 21 in this contest. He's off to a middling start in his first year with the Bruins, posting four goals, 16 points, 48 shots on net, 57 hits, 32 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 33 games.

  • Nick Paul C | TB

    Lightning's Nick Paul: Three-point outburst

Paul had a goal and two assists in a 5-3 win over Columbus on Tuesday.

It was a big night for Paul, who started the season with an outstanding October (nine points in 10 games) but had struggled to rebound after missing time with an injury. This game snapped a four-game scoreless streak. Paul is a decent mid-level fantasy contributor in deep formats, that is if this game signals a return to his potential. He won't often put up big games, but he can deliver secondary scoring.

  • Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Goal streak now at seven games

Guentzel scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-3 win over Columbus on Tuesday.

Guentzel pushed the Bolts up 3-0 in the second period when he stuffed in his own rebound from in tight. It was his seventh straight game with a goal and ninth in that span (three assists). Guentzel added another five shots to his stat pack Tuesday, which gives him 29 on this run and 84 in 29 games this season. He's on pace for his first-ever 50-goal season and mid-90s point total. Steven Stamkos who? Guentzel has been an exceptional signing and a great fit on the ice with the Bolts and on your squad, too.

  • Nick Suzuki C | MON

Canadiens' Nick Suzuki: Helps twice on power play

Suzuki recorded two power-play assists and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 6-1 win over Buffalo.

Suzuki was in on two of Patrik Laine's three power-play tallies, giving the captain 10 multi-point efforts this season. He has four goals and nine assists over his last 10 outings and leads Montreal with 32 points.

  • Craig Smith C | DET

Blackhawks' Craig Smith: Still out Tuesday

Smith (back) will not play Tuesday versus the Capitals, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Smith is set for a fourth straight absence due to the injury. The winger's next chance to play is Thursday versus the Kraken. If he can't return for that game, it's unclear if Smith will travel with the Blackhawks when they begin a road trip in Calgary on Saturday.
