Nic Dowd C | LV
Capitals' Nic Dowd: Tallies in shootout win
Dowd scored a goal, added six hits and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Red Wings.
Dowd had the first goal of the game and the last one in the shootout to help the Capitals earn the win after blowing a two-goal lead in the third period. The 35-year-old defensive center had gone 23 games without a goal, picking up seven assists in that span. He's produced three goals, 14 points, 41 shots on net, 84 hits, 36 blocked shots, 47 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 47 outings this season.

Tanner Laczynski C | LV
Golden Knights' Tanner Laczynski: Sent down to minors
Laczynski was reassigned to AHL Henderson on Friday.
Laczynski has appeared in eight NHL games for the Knights this season in which he has notched two assists, 12 shots and five blocks. In a corresponding move, Jonas Rondbjerg was called up from the minors and could be deployed in a bottom-six role versus Seattle on Saturday.

Mika Zibanejad C | NYR
Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Scores lone goal in loss
Zibanejad scored a power-play goal on five shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Islanders.
Zibanejad is up to 11 goals and 21 points through 13 contests in January. The problem for the Rangers has been that not enough players are following Zibanejad's lead on offense lately. The 32-year-old center is up to 23 goals, 51 points (21 on the power play), 150 shots on net, 75 hits and a minus-18 rating through 54 contests. As the Rangers continue to move into retool/rebuild territory, Zibanejad will have control of his fate with a full no-movement clause in the eight-year extension he signed back in October of 2021.

Jordan Kyrou C | STL
Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Three points in win
Kyrou recorded a goal and two assists, including one on the power play, in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Panthers.
Kyrou bounced back after being held off the scoresheet in Tuesday's loss to Dallas with his second multi-point effort over the last three games. The lack of consistency from game to game has been an issue for Kyrou at times, but he's been playing well and is riding one of his most prolific stretches of the season lately. He's cracked the scoresheet in seven of his last nine games, tallying 10 points (four goals, six assists), 24 shots on goal and a plus-5 rating over that span.

Sam Reinhart C | FLA
Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Two points Thursday
Reinhart scored a power-play goal and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Blues.
Reinhart went pointless in the 4-3 loss to Utah on Jan. 27, but he bounced back with his third multi-point performance since the beginning of January. Reinhart has struggled with consistency at times, and his numbers have been trending downward lately. Despite averaging over 22 minutes of ice time in 14 appearances this month, he's been limited to only nine points (five goals, four assists).

Marat Khusnutdinov C | BOS
Bruins' Marat Khusnutdinov: Fills empty net
Khusnutdinov scored an empty-net goal on two shots in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Flyers.
Khusnutdinov has just two points over his last six games, a stretch that has seen him move back to a third-line role after a stint on the top line. The 23-year-old forward could get a look down the middle at some point since the Bruins are currently without Elias Lindholm (upper body) and Pavel Zacha (upper body), leaving their center group thin. Khusnutdinov has been versatile and decently productive in 2025-26, earning 12 goals, 24 points, 52 shots on net, 27 hits, 25 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 50 appearances, doubling his point total from 75 regular-season outings last year.

Pavel Zacha C | BOS
Bruins' Pavel Zacha: Not on road trip
Zacha (upper body) will not accompany the team to Florida ahead of Boston's two-game road trip, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports Friday.
Zacha suffered the injury against Philadelphia on Thursday. The center has 15 goals and 37 points, including 15 with the man advantage, over 54 appearances this season. He is unlikely to play against Tampa Bay on Sunday and could return after the Olympic break if he doesn't join the team ahead of Wednesday's matchup against the Panthers.

Elias Lindholm C | BOS
Bruins' Elias Lindholm: Set to miss next two games
Lindholm (upper body) won't travel with the Bruins for their two-game swing through Florida, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports Friday.
Lindholm will not only miss the Stadium Series game in Tampa, but this raises doubts about whether he will be healthy enough to join Team Sweden in Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics. With Pavel Zacha (upper body) also not making the trip, the Bruins will likely have to deploy Fraser Minten and either Casey Mittelstadt or Matthew Poitras as their top two centers.
-
Ryan McLeod C | BUF
Sabres' Ryan McLeod: Two-point effort Thursday
McLeod picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Kings.
The 26-year-old center had a hand in Alex Tuch's first and third goals on the night, as McLeod's linemate produced his fourth career hat trick. McLeod has gotten onto the scoresheet in four straight games, and over the last 13 contests he's erupted for four goals and 15 points for the surging Sabres.

Cody Glass C | NJ
Devils' Cody Glass: Traveling with team
Glass (undisclosed) will make the trip for Saturday's clash in Ottawa, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Glass' status for Saturday's game remains up in the air, but the fact that he is traveling with the team certainly bodes well for his recovery. Prior to getting hurt, Glass seemed to have found his offensive game with six goals and three assists in his last nine outings. Still, those nine points represent half of his season-long production, so fantasy managers should probably anticipate a regression at some point.
