  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Scores in fourth straight

Hyman scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Penguins.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are getting most of the attention from opposing defenses, but Hyman has been excellent as well. Hyman has found the back of the net in four straight games, a run that started with a hat trick against the Red Wings on Dec. 11. He's tallied six goals, one assist, 14 shots and three hits over that stretch. This streak will be hard to sustain on a prolonged basis, though, as Hyman is sporting a 42.9 percent shooting percentage during that span.

  • Lars Eller C | OTT

Senators' Lars Eller: Facing three-week absence

Eller will be out of action for at least another three weeks after sustaining a broken foot, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports Wednesday.

Eller has already missed the Senators' last two contests and four of the team's past six outings. Given his recovery timeline, fantasy managers may see the veteran forward land on injured reserve in the coming days. Even when healthy, Eller has struggled to produce offensively, going 16 games without registering a point.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Continues dominant ways

McDavid had two goals, including one on the power play, and two power-play assists in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Penguins.

McDavid extended his point streak to seven games, posting three or more points four times during that span. He ranks second in the league with 56 points (20 goals, 36 helpers) in just 34 games, averaging a blistering 1.65 points per game.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Reaches milestone Tuesday

Draisaitl recorded four assists, including three on the power play, in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Penguins.

The star playmaker assisted in four of the team's six goals and reached the 1,000-point mark with a secondary assist on Edmonton's first marker -- a power-play tally courtesy of Zach Hyman. Per Wes Crosby of NHL.com, Draisaitl is the fifth-fastest player born outside of North America to reach 1,000 points, behind Peter Stastny (682 games), Jari Kurri (716), Jaromir Jagr (763) and Nikita Kucherov (809). Milestone aside, this four-point effort extended Draisaitl's prolific stretch to 16 points (two goals, 14 assists) over his last seven games.

  • Flyers' Trevor Zegras: Goal streak reaches four games

Zegras scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.

Zegras continues to deliver on offense for the Flyers while extending his season-high goal streak to four games. The 24-year-old has found the twine seven times over his last 10 games. He has 12 points, 25 shots, two hits and two blocked shots over that 10-game stretch.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Lights lamp twice against Utah

Geekie scored two goals, one on the power play and the other the game-winner, in Tuesday's 4-1 victory over the Mammoth.

The 27-year-old continued his breakout campaign, getting the Bruins on the board late in the first period after a slick cross-ice pass from David Pastrnak before banging home a rebound just 23 seconds into the second. Geekie has four two-goal performances in the last 13 games, a stretch in which he's racked up 12 of his 24 goals on the season -- putting him second in the Rocket Richard Trophy race behind Nathan MacKinnon (28).

  • Blackhawks' Dominic Toninato: Registers first assist

Toninato notched an assist, three hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Toninato, a fifth-round pick of Toronto in 2012, was able to get on the scoresheet with a helper on Wyatt Kaiser's first-period tally. This was Toninato's first point in two games at the NHL level this year. He'll have a chance to see fourth-line usage until the Blackhawks get either Nick Foligno (hand) or Connor Bedard (upper body) back in the lineup.

  • Maple Leafs' Calle Jarnkrok: Losing favor in December

Jarnkrok was scratched for the fourth time in seven games in December when he sat out Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blackhawks.

Jarnkrok's three-game goal streak to begin the year is a distant memory now -- he's scored just once since then. The 34-year-old forward has four goals, 21 shots on net, 14 hits and a minus-8 rating over 21 appearances. Fantasy managers won't need to roster him as long as he's stuck in a part-time role, and likely beyond that as well, as he probably won't see more than fourth-line usage.

  • Shane Wright C | SEA

Kraken's Shane Wright: Ends slump with goal

Wright scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche.

Wright entered Tuesday with no points in his last five outings, and he hadn't scored since Nov. 20 in Chicago. The 21-year-old was able to change that, tying this contest at 1-1 early in the second period on a play at the net front. The center has six goals, 13 points, 47 shots on net, 26 hits, 23 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 31 appearances. Wright's in a third-line role on a low-scoring team and seems to be putting more focus on defense this year, which has come at the expense of his offense.

  • Kraken's Chandler Stephenson: Pots power-play goal

Stephenson scored a power-play goal on five shots, added two hits and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche.

Stephenson has scored on the power play in back-to-back games, and he has three goals and three helpers during a six-game point streak. The consistency is a positive for the top-six center, who had not posted a streak longer than three contests over the first two months of the season. He's now at seven goals, 18 points (eight on the power play), 52 shots on net, 25 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating through 31 outings. Considering he's failed to top 100 shots in each of the last two years, the increased shot volume could be fueling Stephenson's success on offense.
