  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Not going on road trip

Bedard (shoulder) is not expected to be on the Blackhawks' road trip through Eastern Canada, which starts Tuesday in Toronto, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Bedard's MRI results haven't been revealed, but it's not encouraging that he's being held off the trip. The Blackhawks have just one home game between the end of the road trip and the holiday break, so it's possible the team will just give him the extra time to rest. A firm timeline for his return hasn't been established.

  • Dylan Cozens C | OTT

Senators' Dylan Cozens: Two PP points in loss

Cozens scored a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Wild.

The Senators' power play has been red hot of late, and Cozens has collected a goal and four assists with the man advantage over the last three games among his seven points total. The hot streak has pushed the 24-year-old center up to 10 goals and 24 points in 31 contests on the season, and he's already set a new career high with six power-play goals.

  • Flames' Cullen Potter: Earns pair of points Saturday

Potter scored a goal and added an assist in Arizona State University's 6-3 win over the University of Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday.

Potter has racked up six goals and 10 helpers over 18 appearances this season. He continues to be a steady source of offense for the Sun Devils, growing his game from the 22-point effort he had in 35 outings last year. The Flames prospect should continue to provide balanced scoring contributions.

  • Maple Leafs' Dakota Joshua: Unavailable Saturday

Joshua (illness) won't participate in Saturday's game against Edmonton, per David Alter of The Hockey News.

Joshua has five goals, nine points, 23 PIM and 99 hits in 29 outings this season. Bobby McMann is set to draw back into the lineup following a one-game suspension, which coincides with Joshua's exit.

  • Will Smith C | SJ

Sharks' Will Smith: Sustains injury Saturday

Smith (undisclosed) was injured versus the Penguins on Saturday, and there was no update on his status after the game, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Smith was injured on a hit by Parker Wotherspoon. With no update available, Smith should be considered day-to-day pending further evaluation. The Sharks' next game is at home Tuesday versus the Flames. If Smith and Philipp Kurashev (upper body) are both unavailable, a call-up from AHL San Jose could be in order.

  • Cody Glass C | NJ

Devils' Cody Glass: Three-game, four-point streak

Glass scored a goal Saturday in a 4-1 win over the Ducks.

He beat Lukas Dostal with a snap shot from the high slot in the second period to push the score to 3-1. Glass is on a three-game, four-point scoring streak (two goals, two assists; 11 shots), and he and his linemates (Ondrej Palat and Connor Brown) caught fire Saturday with two goals and two assists.

  • Paul Cotter C | NJ

Devils' Paul Cotter: Surprising three-game goal streak

Cotter scored a goal in Saturday's 4-1 win over Anaheim.

Cotter netted the game-winner early in the second period with a wrist shot that beat Lukas Dostal. It's the third straight game that he's scored a goal (three goals, one assist). This won't last -- he has just five goals (10 points) in 32 games this season. However, Cotter is hot enough to consider a waiver pickup if you're streaming forwards.

  • Sharks' Philipp Kurashev: Suffers injury Saturday

Kurashev (upper body) won't return to Saturday's game against Pittsburgh.

Kurashev logged only 8:03 of ice time in Saturday's contest before his exit. He entered the matchup with six goals and 15 points in 30 appearances. If Kurashev can't play against Calgary on Tuesday, Zack Ostapchuk could return to the lineup.

  • Nico Sturm C | MIN

Wild's Nico Sturm: Suffers upper-body injury

Sturm exited Saturday's game against Ottawa because of an upper-body injury, per Joe Smith of The Athletic.

Sturm is believed to be okay, Smith reported after the game, so the 30-year-old forward might still be able to play Sunday versus Boston. Sturm registered an assist in 10:38 of ice time before leaving Saturday's match. If Sturm can't play against the Bruins, then Hunter Haight will probably draw into the lineup.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Won't return Sunday

Pettersson (upper body) will miss Sunday's game against New Jersey, per Thomas Drance of The Athletic.

Pettersson hasn't been in the lineup since Dec. 5. He has eight goals and 22 points in 28 outings in 2025-26. David Kampf is projected to serve in a top-six role Sunday, but Kampf might shift to the third line once Pettersson is ready to return.
