Mathew Barzal C | NYI
Islanders' Mathew Barzal: Buries early goal
Barzal scored a goal, put two shots on net and blocked two attempts in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins.
Barzal dangled past a few defenders before tucking the puck past the left post to score the opening goal of Wednesday's contest. With his highlight-reel twine finder, he has seven goals, 18 points and 58 shots on net through 23 games this campaign. The 28-year-old center has just two multi-point performances this season, but he's consistently found the scoresheet. After a season riddled with injury a year ago, Barzal is tracking toward the 60-point mark while centering the Isles' top line. He should continue to see a large chunk of ice time moving forward, giving him plenty of chances to return to the elite form of 80 points he had through 80 regular-season games during the 2023-24 campaign.

Alex Steeves C | BOS
Bruins' Alex Steeves: Pair of goals Wednesday
Steeves scored two goals, fired four shots on net and dished out four hits in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Islanders.
Steeves had his best offensive performance of the season, highlighted by a shorthanded goal midway through the final period. With the pair of twine finders, the 25-year-old winger has three goals, four points, 15 shots on goal, 29 hits and 12 blocks through nine games this season. Since his call-up from AHL Providence, Steeves has been an efficient player while seeing time in Boston's middle six. With a combination of recent point production, a chunk of power-play time, and added value with banger stats, Steeves is trending upward in fantasy and could provide sneaky streaming value in deep leagues that reward physical play.

Paul Cotter C | NJ
Devils' Paul Cotter: Snags helper in overtime win
Cotter posted an assist, two shots on goal and four hits in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blues.
Cotter had the secondary helper on Simon Nemec's game-winner 2:58 into overtime. In 16 outings since his lone goal of the year, Cotter has racked up three assists, 15 shots on net, 40 hits and a minus-6 rating. The 26-year-old forward is likely to spend much of the campaign in a bottom-six role that will suppress his scoring potential. He's at four points, 24 shots on net, 60 hits and a minus-9 rating through 23 contests overall.

Brett Howden C | LV
Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Strikes for goal
Howden scored a goal on three shots and added five hits in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Senators.
With the Golden Knights nearly at full health, Howden got a great assignment as the second-line center between Mitch Marner and Mark Stone. It paid off in the form of a first-period goal for Howden, who is likely a placeholder in that spot for William Karlsson (lower body). That said, Karlsson's return isn't imminent. Howden's worth a speculative add in fantasy due to his current lineup placement, but he has a modest four goals, two assists, 21 shots on net, 38 hits and a minus-4 rating over 19 appearances this season.

Jack Eichel C | LV
Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Pots goal in shootout loss
Eichel scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Senators.
Eichel's point streak is up to four games (three goals, four assists). The 29-year-old center helped the Golden Knights form a comeback Wednesday, scoring early in the second period. For the season, he has 11 goals, 31 points, 94 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 23 appearances in a top-line role. Eichel should continue to be the centerpiece of Vegas' offense, though the team can roll three strong lines now that Mark Stone is back from a wrist injury.

Shane Pinto C | OTT
Senators' Shane Pinto: Starts, ends game well
Pinto scored a goal on two shots and racked up nine hits in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Pinto was excellent both early and late in this contest. His tally 51 seconds into the game opened the scoring, and he also had the only shootout goal for either team to secure the Senators' win. He's scored three times over his last six games and could be heating up again after a goal drought earlier in November. The 25-year-old center has 11 goals, 17 points, 57 shots on net, 29 hits, 16 blocked shots and 12 PIM over 23 appearances this season.

Jared McCann C | SEA
Kraken's Jared McCann: Slides assist in return
McCann notched an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Stars.
McCann logged 17:53 of ice time in Wednesday's defeat, even after taking a high stick to the mouth on his first shift. He played for the first time since missing 17 contests due to a lower-body injury. The 29-year-old should fill a sizeable role for the Kraken moving forward. He has produced five points, 16 shots on net, nine hits and a plus-2 rating over six outings this season.
-
Tyler Seguin C | DAL
Stars' Tyler Seguin: Two more apples in win
Seguin logged two assists and a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.
Seguin helped out on tallies by Esa Lindell and Vladislav Kolyachonok in this contest. While Seguin has gone five games without a goal, he's racked up seven helpers in that span. The 33-year-old forward is up to seven goals, 10 assists, 29 shots on net, 15 hits and a plus-9 rating through 24 outings this season. As long as he's seeing top-six minutes, he should be productive enough to help in most fantasy formats.

Mason McTavish C | ANA
Ducks' Mason McTavish: Nets goal Wednesday
McTavish scored a goal on five shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Canucks.
McTavish has two goals and two assists over his last four outings. The 22-year-old center is up to five goals and 15 points through 23 contests overall. He's added 32 PIM, 39 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-1 rating. McTavish's playing style is well-suited to top-six minutes, where he can use his compete level to win battles all over the ice, and it's paying off this year as the Ducks' team offense has taken a step forward.

Leo Carlsson C | ANA
Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Finds twine in loss
Carlsson scored a goal on six shots in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Canucks.
Carlsson snapped his six-game goal drought with a second-period tally. The center's hot start to the season has cooled off -- he's gone eight games without a multi-point effort, but he has two goals and three assists in that span. Overall, Carlsson is at 12 goals, 30 points, 61 shots on net, 12 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a plus-11 rating through 23 appearances. He should continue to be a fixture in the Ducks' top six.
