  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Slated to play

Miller (upper body) is expected to be in the lineup versus the Hurricanes on Wednesday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.

Miller has missed two games with the injury. He is poised to return to a second-line role and should also feature on the power play. Conor Sheary will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Miller's return.

  • Kraken's Oscar Fisker Molgaard: Demoted Wednesday

Fisker Molgaard was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Wednesday.

Fisker Molgaard's demotion coincides with Jared McCann's activation from injured reserve following his recovery from a lower-body injury. The 20-year-old Fisker Molgaard had one helper and one shot on goal over two games during his first stint with the Kraken.

  • Jared McCann C | SEA

    Kraken's Jared McCann: Activated Wednesday

McCann (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday.

McCann was initially labeled a game-time decision, but this roster move points toward the 29-year-old being in the lineup for the first time since Oct. 18. He should slot into a middle-six role initially, though he'll also see power-play time. McCann is typically one of the Kraken's top scorers when healthy, so fantasy managers should see how he does as he gets back up to speed.

  • Ridly Greig C | OTT

Senators' Ridly Greig: Won't play against Vegas

Greig (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Golden Knights, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Greig continues to deal with an undisclosed injury, and he'll remain sidelined for a fourth consecutive game Wednesday. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but Stephen Halliday should continue to handle a fourth-line role for the Senators in Greig's absence.

  • Jared McCann C | SEA

Kraken's Jared McCann: Game-time decision versus Stars

McCann (lower body) will be a game-time call versus the Stars on Wednesday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports.

McCann has been out of action since Oct. 18 versus the Maple Leafs, a stretch of 17 games on the shelf due to his lower-body problem. If the 29-year-old winger is ready to return, he'll need to be activated off injured reserve, which will likely see Oscar Fisker Molgaard returned to AHL Coachella Valley. In limited action this year, McCann showed his offensive upside with three goals and one assist in five outings.

  • Nic Dowd C | LV

Capitals' Nic Dowd: On injured reserve

Dowd (upper body) was put on injured reserve Wednesday.

Dowd has been a game-time decision for the last few contests, including Wednesday's tilt against Winnipeg. However, he will miss his fifth straight game. He has a goal, five points, 14 PIM and 33 hits in 19 outings in 2025-26. Washington summoned Bogdan Trineyev from the minors in a corresponding move.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Remains unavailable Wednesday

Point (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup versus the Flames on Wednesday, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.

Point will miss his second straight game. Nick Paul will have a top-six role in addition to moving onto the No. 1 power-play unit because of Point's absence. For his part, the 29-year-old Point hasn't scored a goal in his last eight appearances while generating two assists, 16 shots and two blocks.

  • Maple Leafs' Jacob Quillan: Returns to AHL

Quillan was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Wednesday, per David Alter of The Hockey News.

Auston Matthews (lower body) and Nicolas Roy (upper body) are being activated off injured reserve to return Wednesday versus Columbus, so Quillan is being returned to the minors to free up a roster spot. The 23-year-old Quillan has no points, one shot and six hits in two appearances with the Maple Leafs in 2025-26.

  • Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Returning to action Wednesday

Matthews (lower body) is good to go for Wednesday's game against Columbus, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Matthews will return to the top-line role and see time on the first power-play unit after missing the last five games. He's recorded nine goals, five assists, 31 blocked shots, 13 hits and six PIM while averaging 21:15 of ice time over 17 appearances this season.

  • Nicolas Roy C | COL

Maple Leafs' Nicolas Roy: Suiting up versus Jackets

Roy (upper body) will return to the lineup for Wednesday's clash with Columbus, Mark Masters of TSN reports.

Roy will be back in the lineup following a three-game stint on the shelf due to his upper-body problem. The Quebec native is currently mired in a 17-game goal drought during which he managed two assists, 17 shots and 18 hits while averaging 15:13 of ice time.
